I tried to regenerate few images, but got errors. I logged it:

]]>I would like to know which other cache plugins are compatible with this one. I have a lot of .js and I believe another tool can help in this regard.
I used to use WP-Rocket but I deleted it to use this one, but it left a gap in other optimizations.

]]>Good morning,
I think this is a very good plug-in and I wanted to try it out. As per the instructions I read, I wanted to transform the images that were in JPG and PNG into AVIF, those that were already uploaded. So after installing the plug-in and configuring it, I had the images regenerated by Regenerate Thumbnails. The process worked but the only problem I notice is that the images were all renamed by adding a suffix to the end of the file. For example, if the image was a JPG and named file, the file was renamed?file~jpg~avif.jpg. The same for PNG files.
Thanks for your attention and best regards.
Hi folks,
I ran the plugin from my phone to fix my legacy site Autoload Options.
I had 2580 options and the plugin reduced that to 793. Then it stopped suggesting Autoload Options to fix as the number was below the recommended 800 max. and the tab no longer was accessible.
Before the Options Tab stopped, I saw there there were still 20-30 small option suggestions which I had not fixed.
Is there any way to view and action the plugin suggestions on the remaining 20-30 small option suggestions?
At the moment, since I have <800 (638KB) options, the Site Health plugin does not see this as a performance issue and longer, so the Performance Lab plugin does seem to have any way to fix the remaining.
Regards and thanks!

]]>“performance-lab” has been deactivated, WordPress.com automatically handles caching and database optimization for your site.
I’ve installed the plugin but when I try to activate it, it doesn’t work and gives me the above error.
I uploaded the plug in manually because when I go to ‘add new plugin’ and search for it, it shows up as Not Supported.. What does that mean?

This plugin allows us to review autoload options in the Site Health screen if Site Health is showing a critical issue for autoloads, which is great. However, you have to turn them off one by one, and the autoload options disappear once you get below the threshold for autoloads, removing the ability to continue to review and turn off autoloads. Is there wa way to continue to review and turn off autoloads even after getting below the critical issue threshold?

Compatibility issue between WooCommerce 8.8.2 and two plugins Performance Lab and Modern Image Formats
I encountered a problem using WooCommerce due to a conflict with two plugins, Performance Lab and Modern Image Formats. We hope to resolve this compatibility issue. Subcategory error with the same name when importing product data into WooCommerce 8.8.2.
When importing product data into WooCommerce 8.8.2 via CSV file, I encountered an error that caused two subcategories with the same name to appear. During data import, I imported two products of the same category:
As you can see, both of these products belong to the same main category and sub-category. However, after importing data into WooCommerce 8.8.2, the system automatically created two separate subcategories. Initially, I thought this error might be due to the text formatting of the two products’ category columns being different, but when I checked the duplicate entries on the Google Sheet, I realized that they were exactly the same. All WordPress versions, website themes and plugins have been updated to the latest version and I have also cleared the website cache, but this error continues to occur.
Here are links to the illustrations and CSV files:
]]>Version 3.0.0 (latest update) causes a critical error:

Btw, I am also using Azure App Service and I enable. WP_Image_Editor_Imagick for the Webp.
WordPress 6.5 now supports the Avif image format so please update the Performance Lab plugin to support this image format.
]]>I made the mistake of blindly compressing all images. Even with selecting “Prioritize retention of detail”, most images turned out grainy. They used to be crisp and clean and now…. notsomuch. I also had “backup original images” selected, so I figured I could go in an restore all/most of the images, but it’s not working. Even after 12 images and sever cache clearing and refreshing, the images are still not restored. Suggestions??
Also, moving forward, what’s a better tool or way to compress images for faster speed but without ruining the images??
]]>I have this plugin installed in the site, as well as standalone performance plugins WebP, Dominant Color and Performant Translations.
If I try to load the homepage when logged in, the server returns an HTTP 503 after around 5-10 seconds. The site responds normally if I’m not logged in. The hosting company confirms excessive load when my tests are carried out.
If I deactivate the main plugin (but not the standalone performance plugins) then the error doesn’t occur and the site responds quickly.
]]>From the plugin description is unclear what this plugin really does, exspecially since the functionailly is splittet in sub-plugins. There should be a link to any official extension plugins like webp-uploads.
One thing the plugin seems to do is extend WP_Cache. Please add a clear description which caches are used, Opcache, Browser Cache, Page Cache, …
]]>I was cleaning up the uploads folder. Particularly, I was deleting webp files that were created by any plugins because I was planning to utilize my CDN’s image optimization feature.
I used this command to get rid of all the webp files.
find /var/www/theunfolder/_data/htdocs/wp-content/uploads/ -name "*-jpg.webp" -type f -delete
Later, I realized half of the images on my website were broken because this plugin created webp images and replaced the original uploads with webp files. Is there any way to revert the changes and go back to using jpg files?
]]>I got wind of this plugin because of a Search Engine Journal article – https://www.searchenginejournal.com/wordpress-releases-two-performance-plugins-to-speed-up-webpages/506190/
However, I already have Litespeed cache plugin installed on a Litespeed server. I feel like using this plugin will just be redundant and add to the bloat of plugins in WordPress (and ongoing problem). I certainly do not require the webp converter, that’s for sure…
Has anyone else had experience using both that could elaborate on their experience?
]]>Hi.
I had a jpeg image size 120kb and the plugin gave me a webp version size 93kb so I need the compression level to be more lossy.
So how can I make the compression level more lossy. I want max of 20kb webp images.
]]>Hello.
I had the WEBP Uploads option enabled, but as I’m using Jetpack Photon, this is unnecessary.
I disabled the option, but I already have many images on both versions, and they take up storage space.
Is there a way to safely delete one of the versions? (preferably the JPEG). I assume deleting directly from the filesystem can cause issues (unless the versions are detached first).
Thanks.
