hello Chris,
I am in the process of completing my new social network site at buzzie.xyz – the Premier Animal Welfare Site, Plus Some so I can get the hell out of Facebook completely.
I have dozens and dozens of FB groups and community pages, each one concentrating on animal welfare, and almost all of them, except 4 groups and 2 community pages, are for helping US-based animals for the most part. I have moved back to the Philippines and would like to get out of FB completely, Is it possible for this plugin to get set up so that I can create different groups and pages depending on the breed, type, need, etc. I use the alias Nong Obieta on FB, and you can check out my list of groups and pages, that have not yet been unreasonably disabled by FB at
Nong Obieta’s Animal Welfare Groups & Community Pages
and my real important question is – do you offer assistance in setting up the plugin correctly so that I don’t screw up big time trying to do it myself?
thanks for this plugin. Regards
]]>Hey, I’m working on the dogs and pet care website that hosted on WordPress. I want to add some features of latest listing dogs on my website. Is this plugin helpful for this feature?
]]>Do you have any plans to make this plugin compatible with Petfinder’s API? This is the only pet adoption plugin on WP now. The others have all disappeared. Many rescues use Petfinder to list their pets.
]]>I have a website about one specific breed, is it possible to display only this one breed?
]]>Hi Chris,
I’ve read in a previous post that you were going to look into the possibility of using those APIs and maybe building a new plugin around them.
I wonder if you have dropped the idea, if you are still working on it or if it is already available somewhere else.
I did some research but could not find any info about it.
Thank you!
]]>Just want to start out saying that I love the pet adoption plugin and it
has been a huge help for rescue groups in our area that are trying to save
some of these abandoned animals lives. I have a quick question though, if I
might get some assistance from you. We live in Arkansas where there is a
huge issue with shelters that have to kill dogs every month due to
overpopulation. Because of this we don’t adopt in state. We have our dogs
transported to the east coast where kill shelters are non existent. That
being said, the transport we use travels to multiple east coast states and
we post with adopt-a-pet in all of these states. the pet adoptions listings
has a line that goes across the top that reads like “Adoptable Pets at Dirt
Road Rescues – MD Chapter” which is state specific and confusing to some
that visit our site because they are adopting from a different state. Is
there a line I can edit in the plugin that will remove this from showing?
I am not great with code so any detailed info would be super appreciated!

Do you have to have the link to the pet’s Adoptapet profile, or can display the pet’s profile on your own website without linking to a third-party site?
]]>I stopped using this plugin since it wasn’t showing up, but tonight I went to try to switch back to it. There was an UPDATE PLUGIN notice next to the plugin name on my list, so I updated it.
Now look what I get when I try to load my page:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/89/7382889/html/wp-content/plugins/pet-adoption-listings/pet-adoption-listings.php on line 249
I can’t even log in to my wp-admin; I get the same code.
This is VERY BAD. We use our website extensively.
check out for yourself at https://www.goodkarmapetrescue.org
HOW DO I FIX THIS? I can’t even log in!!! Help!

]]>This is a great plugin. But I’d like to change link and row colors. I am unable to do so in my CSS. However, I see that on the page you mention using is https://ccpaac.org/adoption/ they have gray and not light green row colors. How did they achieve this?
]]>Hi there: I’m working on a site for the Santa Barbara Humane Society in WordPress and testing your plugin. I was wondering how the CSS is generated and if I can somehow override certain styles (font styles, odd row background color, size of thumbnail images for example). I have looked at the PHP code, and don’t see how the styles are called from the pet-adoption-listings.php file.
My other question is how to exclude all but Cats and Dogs from the dropdown menu. The Humane Society only offers adoptable cats and dogs, no rabbits, horses etc.
Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give me!
Best, Daniel

For some reason I can’t center the iframe on my page. It just auto left aligns, no matter what I seem to do.
]]>I take it this is a US only plugin, right?
