Hi, firstly this is one of the best WordPress gallery plugin I have come across.
When I use Photonic galleries with tab plugins or Gutenberg blocks – it displays only the gallery in the first tab correctly (mosaic gallery layout). Following tabs display images below each other in a single column.
I am a beginner so I am trying to figure out if this behaviour can be overcome somehow. I have trying to play with Photonic settings and tried different tab plugins but seems like it’s fundamental issue with how the galleries are loaded. But my knowledge is very thin.
Looking for some advice as would really like to use tabs with photonic galleries.
Thanks for the attention.
]]>Hi There,
Thanks for making such a wonderful plugin. I found the shortcode does not fetch images based on date filter.
Shortcode: [gallery type='google' view='photos' count='200' crop_thumb='crop' thumb_size='50' main_size='1200' columns='6' layout='random' more='Show More' album_id='album id here' date_filters='2024/10/15-2024/10/16']
Could you take a look on it? I have latest version 3.12.

Ankur V.
]]>Hi Sayontan,
I am creating a website with the following requirements:
I was able to display the album (all photos) and clicking on them fired up a lightbox and I could rotate through the photos/videos. Used LightBox v3.
I am using Elementor (not the Pro) and a plugin Elementor Addons to use an element “Advanced Tabs”.
Thanks!
]]>I have an album view which is in reverse chronological order (i.e. newest/most recently updated albums are at the top). This is desired. When clicked, the photo view is on a separate page. The photos are in normal chronological order, so oldest pictures appear first. Is there a way to have the newest photos at the top, like in the album view? This would be useful as these albums are continuously updated with new images, and ideally I want them to be seen first. I am using Google Photos.
Couldn’t find anything related to this in the Settings. I tried adding a order=’DESC’ manually to the shortcode, which I found mentioned in an old support thread, but this did nothing (maybe it just applies to the album view, which is already in the order I want).
(thanks for an amazing free plugin and i know Google Photos support might die soon cos fuck Google’s new API but yeah just wondering if this is possible and I just missed something)
]]>Hi,
I have quite strange behavior from Photonic after recently updating my entire site and all plugins. The galleries only seem to load, when I resize the browser window… Any idea why this is happening?
Hi Sayontan.
I know the Google Photos API only allows for loading 100 pictures at a time for any given album. I’m also aware of the current workaround using the popup panel to load more photos. However, I was wondering, why not just add an option to load the extra photos automatically? The API tells us how many photos are in an album, so if we see that there are more than 100 photos, we can just make multiple requests.
Of course this should be an option and not the default behaviour, but I think it would be useful. What do you think?
]]>For my website, there are instances where I want to embed single images from my Google Photos library.
None of the filtering options provided in the Photonic block allow me to select specific photos or from albums or my whole general library.
The best workaround I have found is to place the photo into its own album and display that album.
Is there any functionality to skip or index entries in an album?
Hypothetical:
Say I have 5 photos in an album and I just want to display the 4th one. Setting parameters count = 1 and skip = 3 would let me just display just the 4th one. Alternatively if there was some way to index it, setting index = 3 or 4 (depends on if you’re 0-indexing) would get you the 4th entry.
Is the best solution for the time being just to put photos in their own individual album?
]]>I am using Google Photos and most of my albums have 10+ images. I would like to only display 5 images on the page in a square, mosaic or masonry layout. However, when I limit the layout to 5 images, the lightbox (Lightgallery) only displays those 5 images. How can I get the lightbox to display all of the images in the album?
]]>I’d like to know is there a way to tell Photonic WP gallery via shortcode:
1 – Minimum Tile height value for Random Justified and Mosaic Gallery
2 – Forse Random and Mosaic galleries to load full sized pictures (native WP gallery option size=full has no effect in Photonick shortcode)
Thank you in advance!
]]>I have an unusual issue where images are being replaced by an SVG belonging to Formidable Forms.
View issue here: https://simplicitytheme.com/abstract-paintings/
I can fix this by downgrading Formidable Forms Pro to a much older version, but I can’t see why it is occurring. I do not use any forms on this page, and Chrome Inspector has no errors.
I am happy to raise this with Formidble Forms but do you know how this could happen?
Thanks.
]]>When on the Flickr website, clicking on the “Albums” tab generates a screen of my 13 Albums. This is consistent on my laptop (an updated Mac using 3 different browsers) and my iPhone, and clicking on one of the albums displays the CONTENTS of that album. I’m sadly unable to duplicate that on my WordPress site (viani.us/flickr). I’ve created a page and, using the Photonic plugin, all 13 Albums are displayed. Sadly, clicking on one of them does NOT display the contents but goes directly to the full-screen image/slideshow. My question is what shortcode will generate an exact duplicate of the Album (Photoset) display and show the contents of the album, rather than the enlargement. The “Page” shortcode options are nothing like what I’m looking for (even after using the CSS fixes). BTW, displaying a single album (via the ID method) won’t cut it as I’m eventually planning on displaying hundreds of albums. Help, please.
]]>hi, is it possible to also have a close button to minimize the gallery again. I have a button to open the Google foto album but I want to allow also to close or minimize again. Is this possible with the Photonic gallery. Thanks for feedback in advance.

Hi,
when I open lightbox for an album only 99 photos are loaded even though there are many more. I understand this is a limit of Google Photos API. I have read about a workaround using “More” feature but it does not work for lightbox.
Is there any way to load all photos into a lightbox please? Or is it possible have a link (shared url) directly to Google Photos Album website instead of lightbox?
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Michael
Hi Sayontan,
Is there a way to disable right click and save the photos in lightbox? Or do you have an alternate solution to this? I am trying to prevent visitors to save the photos and get the meta data info of the photos.
Wishing you well and thank you for the wonderful plugin as always.
]]>Today, I’ve got an email from ImunifyAV antivirus scanner installed on my server (as a Plesk plugin). It reported that my website is compromised with malware. It reports that it detected this in the following file: /blog/wp-content/plugins/photonic/include/js/front-end/src/Polyfill.js
The reported signature identifier is SMW-INJ-27295-js.spam-5. It is reported as client malware.
Because of the name of the file I assume a connection to the security vulnerability involving the?polyfill.io
?CDN reported a few months ago. I think, you will understand that I’m now really concerned about the further usage of the Photonic plugin.
I am currently using Photonic Plugin version 3.10.
Do you know this issue already and can possibly give some advice how to proceed? Currently, my only option would be to uninstall and replace the Photonic plugin which would cause a lot of effort. I would regret no longer being able to use the plugin that has served me well so far.
Thank you in advance.

]]>Hi,
It seems wordpress plugins including yours that display a Flickr album have a limit of 500. Where/why does this limitation come from? Any way of changing it?
Also, instead of all thumbnail images displaying on one page, it is possible to limit the number of images and have a net/prev buttons.
Finally, any way of randomizing sort order?
Thank you.

Can you help us solve this problem?
]]>Hello,
I use your plugin to display Flickr albums, I mostly use the Mosaic style which was is very nice and was working fine until recently. A while back I noticed it was sometime working and sometime not loading, it is inconsistent.
Page set to Mosaic: https://www.boraboraphotovideo.com/photoshoot-black-tip-sharks-bora-bora/
I had also noticed a had lost some fields for RankMatch Seo on the post type pages, I contacted them and see their reply below:
“Hello,
The issue is coming from the plugin “Photonic Gallery & Lightbox for Flickr, SmugMug, Google Photos & Others” which is preventing some scripts from loading on WordPress and affecting the Rank Math SEO Metabox.
The file load-scripts.php usually should contain the version of jQuery that WordPress bundles in its installation but due to that plugin it is not being loaded on your website.
We would recommend getting in touch with their support about this issue and make sure that they call the jQuery version bundled with WordPress.”
As a work around to ensure galleries display correctly, I changed the gallery style to Masonry which appears to load fine (there is not over effects but loads ok) but that did not solve the SEO fields missing (not a major hurdle).
I am hoping you perhaps have a solution or can point me in the right direction.
Thank you in Advance.
Stephan

An external application has requested your login credentials and permission to perform certain actions on your behalf, but has failed to include all the required data.
You don’t really need to know what this means, except that you can’t use the application until this problem is fixed. (It’s a third-party problem, not a Flickr problem.)
There are lots of applications using the Flickr API. If you are curious about this, visit the Flickr Services page to see more examples of cool stuff. Otherwise, you might like to head to your home page…

]]>Hello, thanks again for resolving the issue with diplaying photo albums from Google Photos. I am currently having problems displaying single albums, please help.
For instance if I do [photonic type=’google’ view=’photos’ filter=’idofmyphotoalbum’ popup=’show’ photo_count=20 photo_more=’Load More’], it loads photos from all albums starting from the first album created and so forth, instead of the album that I specified in the filter attribute. The album ID is indeed correct, taken from Photonic > Helpers. The same is happening with other album IDs entered. Please advise.
]]>Galleries work perfectly on our desktop site but we have been notified that on mobile devices, Iphone, Android, that no galleries display at all. There is no error message just a blank space where the gallery should be.
]]>Hello, twice now I carefully followed the documentation you provided for Google Photos setup and sucessfully completed, but when I add a shortcode, I get the following error: There are no photos with those IDs or the post 2 does not have any attached images! Source selection is missing from this grid. (I understand that 2 is the post id).
I tried [gallery type='google' view='albums'] or [gallery type='google' view='photos' filter='idofmyphotoalbum' popup='show' photo_count=10 photo_more='Load More'] but above error is retuurned.
I noticed the first time when authenticating, the Google account only showed the View your Google Photos library permissions in that screen where I click on Allow. It did not show the Manage your photos and videos, Manage and add to shared albums on your behalf permisions. I then tried second time by adding those scopes but could not get far due to verification required(there are some mandatory reqirements that’ll take too long, like to create a youtube video showing all the relevant info) so I removed these scopes and still completed the remaining steps but the same error is returned. I did not pay much attention to this as I thought it’s just Google changing stuff around.
Greatly appreciate your help, really this to resolve this urgently please.
