Would it be possible to disable compression of images uploaded by customers? Currently, when we add images to the gallery (e.g. 7MB), their size is reduced when uploaded by the customer (e.g. 600KB).

We want them to keep their original size when uploaded.

I’ve just finished to translate picu in French (France).
It’s only the Stable (latest release)?part but I’ve noticed that most (if not all) of the string in the development trunk are the same and I wasn’t keen on manually copy-pasting hundreds of lines. ^^’

The sad thing is those translations are still waiting for approval and the french approver / editor last translation on this plugin seems to date back seven years. So waiting for his/her confirmation (nonetheless on 300ish strings) could never end.

I’ll be down to validate those strings. I’m a French native, and currently still lives near Paris.
I’ve double-checked everything I’ve inputed and I’m pretty sure of it all, so I’d love to see it ported to the plugin as all my clients are French speaking.

Anyway this could happen ?

Hi, I created a Collection and added lots of images. I no longer needed the collection so I permanently deleted it but I am able to see the images on my browser still – example: /wp-content/uploads/picu/collections/12961/GM_03743.webp

I figured deleting the collection doesn’t delete its content from my website, so I went into my File Manager> wp-content/uploads/picu/collections but I don’t see /12961/ folder.

How can I delete collections with images so I can save up space on my hosting?

Hi, I use WP Grid Builder Plugin to display custom post types. I created a page in my website where I’d display Picu’s Collections and clients could just click on their albums. However the thumbnails are not visible, even if I fetch first media post using WP Grid Builder.

Is this because Picu doesn’t have a default featured image per collection?

What option is available to make collections visible in a page within my website?

I’v got problem since last update : I can uncheck the option “Require email address before a client can make a selection” but it don’t work : my custommers continue to have to enter name an mail.

Since the update to version 2.3.1 today, all of my client collections, send to the client by link end up in a redirect loop (ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS). Happens on all of my clients devices, starting today. Not sure if this is a known problem?

Recent upadate – now the thumbnails missing from WordPress dashboard. Thumbs were very useful to see what the gallery was! Now I have no idea. A real annoyance to be honest and it takes away from the functionality of this plugin.

Is it a glitch? If not, where can I download the previous release please as that works better for me.

when I download proof (.txt) file, the selected images in the .txt file doesn’t even has commas in selected file names. Please separate it with commas

First of all this is a great plugin! I want to know if there’s a possibility to add only names instead of emails? I have clients that don’t use email at all and I am forced to type random @gmail.com emails.

Hi, ive been testing picu for a while, was using older version, but now i updated to the new one and have this problem.

when client finalize a gallery selection, the added comment at the end is not shown anywhere. not on the top of the page like the older version, and not on the aproved collection TXT generated by the “download proof” button.

any help? when making a test gallery and adding a comment, again, it does not show anywhere. older version was working fine.

Hi, congratulations for PICU, very easy and intuitive. I have a small problem: the photos shown in the gallery are seen in 4/3 format and not 2/3. As a result, feet are often cut out in photos. Basically you never see the whole photo, not even by enlarging the photo on the screen. For now I have solved the problem by inserting a border/frame around the photo, but I don’t understand why the gallery is shown in the 4/3 format if the photos are 2/3 . Thank you

To make easy search on Windows I would customize Proof.txt file and “Copy Filenames” function.

I would create this list type:
“017” OR “019” OR “021”

So in my config file I added:

Installed Picu plugin, but we are not receiving Notification Emails.

Hello guys, recently i have a huge problem with picu. im using it for years now but the recent issue is driving me crazy.

after creating a new collection i upload for example 200 images (actual case) and after publishing the collection shows only 176 images. (in the picu / collection folder on the ftp server there are all 200 images) than i have to look up which image is missing and tried to reupload it. didnt work well… after 3rd time uploading the missing images … the image is finally now shown in the collectoin but with name -3 on the end (for example IMAGENAME-1000-3.jpg)… so this tells me there are four versions of the same image / same name on the server (1000, 1000-1, 1000-2, 1000-3) … so now i have 4 duplicates of the in the beginning missing 26 images on the server never had issues like this (or any issues at all with picu) in the past years…

Pls help guys. I want to use picu so baaaddd, it was a great proofing plugin. But with the upload issues its useless for me… what should i do when i upload 5000 images (what i normally do) … I can’t check every single image every time manually and reupload it 10 times …

Hello!

We started having trouble with our notifications. After gallery is approved we don’t get an email with notification. What could that be?

Recently a couple of clients have encountered this message and have been unable to submit their selections:

“Error: none check failed. Refresh your browser window.”

Is this caused by something I am doing? Can I take steps to prevent this from happening?

Unfortunately, the plugin does not display any images. Only the project name is there.
Could this be because the website doesn’t have a default theme – it was built with the Oxygen Builder.

before the latest updates, when I received the email informing me that the customer had made the selection and replied to that email, the customer’s address was used as the recipient address, but it no longer works.

since a few days ago, every time I include some dash (-) in the collection titles, in the subject of the email appears &#8211 ; instead of the dash.

&#8211 ; is the unicode value for the en dash (–) and not for the hyphen, so I don’t understand what is happening.

I have a use case to display all of my galleries on the front end of my site using the shortcode provided. However, I would like to display the galleries in a mutli-column list not just a straight list, is there a way to do this? I don’t see the css in the plugin file. Also, I want to add a search bar to the galleries page, but the default divi search bar doesn’t seem to pick up the galleries. I assume it can be done, but can you point me in the right direction?

Hi, this plugin doesn’t have an archive page where are all galleries visible? I am looking for an alternative to one similar plugin but this one feature I miss here. Other solutions call it “client zone”.
