First of all, thank you for creating this excellent plugin. It does almost exactly what I need. The only thing I’m missing is the ability to link the widget to a static page. I currently have the gallery widget set to link the picture on display. What I’d really like is to link to the front page of my gallery (https://gallery.nomadtravelimages.com). Is there any way to do this?
Thanks
]]>Hi,
I had no success in loading my albums in PiwigoPress. After some debugging I found the line …
echo (“<!– DEBUG pwg_get_contents: calling wp_remote_get fullurl = $fullurl –>\n”);
… in piwigopress/PiwigoPress_get.php. I removed it and the albums did load.
Could you please remove this line in upstream?

I am using your nice plugin since I have my blog https://laneb.re and everything worked fine.
But since some days (and cannot remember exactly when and why), each post only shows one (or two) picture : the first thumbnailed pictures and the first full-sized picture and nothing more.
Same problem in the dashboard : the generator shows all my albums, I can open the latest 5 pictures but with “Get more”, I have : “Warning No available public picture or Piwigo release < 2.4.x”.
No way to drag and drop a second picture…
On a second private dev website, I deactivate all my WP plugins except PiwigoPress, I deactivate my .htaccess too, same problem.
Perhaps the same problem you noticed there : https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/generate-and-insert-only-inserts-one-photo-even-if-more-are-in-the-drop-zone?replies=1
Any idea to fix it ?

Hi!
This is probably a noob questinon. I’m installing a site/blogg (WP) and a Piwigo gallery and I want to set it up so I can have a button on my meny to get right into the whole gallery, not just one and one photo. Is this possible and if so how do I do it?
Thanks!
]]>Running PiwigoPress 2.2.7.
When I attempt to add a picture from a sub-album, the interface will not allow me to choose the sub album. It is listed but when I select it the interface reverts to “Load List of Categories”. If I try to select the master album the same thing happens.
Using an album with no sub-albums works fine.
Thank you very much for having stepped in vpiwigo shoes and made this plugin usable again.
Before you did, I had made a few improvements on my own copy, and had to update the new version in order no to loose the features I’ve added.
Would you consider adding the following features to the plugin:
1. In PiwigoPress_widget.php:
– put the picture name in the alt
tag of each picture, so it doesn’t remain blank
– suppress the target=_blank
(or make it optional) for each picture; it is not very appropriate when the blog and the gallery are parts of the same website and, unless I’m mistaken, it is now generally considered as ‘bad practice’ not to let the choice of another tab/window to the visitor.
2. In piwigopress.php:
– make it possible to display the category name
I also made another modification in order to be able to square-crop non-thumbnail pictures, but I don’t think this could be considered as a general purpose feature.
If you’re interested in seeing the resulting customization, you can have a look at the website+gallery I’ve set up for a customer: https://michel-rouge-photographe.com/
]]>Hello,
I discovered your plugins few days ago.. As for me, this is a great one that prevents from duplicating photos of the piwigo gallery and wordpress !

Hi guys.
Great plugin.
I would like to ask if by any chance you could add an option to center the image in the widget settings section.
Why?
Well I can show you this:
Please notice the green oval section. The image would really look much better if centered in the sidebar.
IF You’re not willing to add this in the settings, could You please tell me what could I add / change in the plugin code to achieve this?
Also – The pop up for the widget settings – it looks broken on closer look…
What could be done to make it look normal?
Cheers.

Hi,
Most of my piwigo pictures are not public…
I saw that piwigopress allow only to access public pictures in post or widget.
It will be a great step if piwigopress was able to know the piwigo rights of the connected users to allow to display available authorized pictures.
Automatically if it can associate the actual user with the piwigo user rights
or
thru a link between wordpress userid and piwigo userid
(perhaps this could be possible with the use of the wordpress users_meta table and a piwigoid field …)
I don’t know if it could be possible …
]]>Dear all,
First of all, thanks to vpiwigo for writing this great plugin, and thanks for allowing me to carry on, I will try my best
I just released a new version of the plugin. It should work now with the latest release of WordPress and Piwigo.
Development is now mostly done on this github project.
I also hope that more people will contribute by sending patches and merge requests!
Thanks a lot and all the best

Except when I run the widget (either with my own data or the info from the piwigo demo option in the screenshots), all I get is the link, I don’t actually get the photos. Equally, for some reason, every time I save, the TAGS or COMMENT box will self-tag.
Any thoughts on why it won’t actually pull the photo?

But nothing happens when editing a post and i’m clicking on the PP button.
anybody got an idea?
Hi,
I just added this plugin yesterday and I can’t seem to get it to work properly. I’ve been trying to test the plugin by adding photos to a post. I clicked on the PP button, put in the url of my gallery homepage (which is https://www.[mysite].com/photos), and clicked on “start with 5 recent pics” and then I got this message:
“Loaded, hidden & dropped vs. Requested thumbnails: 0 / 5”
What am I doing wrong? Is the plugin incompatible with this version of WordPress or did I put the wrong url in? Should I be putting in the url of the homepage of my piwigo site or the url of an album, or maybe the url of another directory in my website? I’ve tried multiple urls but none of them have worked so far. Any advice?
Thanks for your help!

Fix:
Open the file mentioned in the notice message – in my case:
/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/piwigopress/thumbnails_reloader.php
and edit the line 27 from this:
$pictures = $thumbc[“result”][“images”][“_content”];
to this:
$pictures = $thumbc[“result”][“images”];
This fixed the issue for me.
Cheers.

]]>Dear all,
I have finally found the time to fix some annoying bugs when using PiwigoPress on WordPress 3.9 (and above). In addition, I have added some features I wanted to have. Here are my changes:
Fixes
=====
* fix for Piwigo 1.6 version (from the forum here)
* fix for tinyMCE v4 integration (javascript code updated)
“generate and insert” was broken and only inserted the first image
Improvements
============
The improvements are all targeting encryption of all sources. One problem is that t the moment, when using PiwigoPress, javascript code, css code are loaded via https:// in any case.
The other problem is that the URL for the PiwigoServer cannot be specified *without* a protocol and server, in case the piwigo server is on the same host. Now in my case I have the blog in <server>/blog and the piwigo in <server>/piwigo, and I would like PiwigoPress to use “/piwigo” as url and have the proper (currently used) http/https added automatically.
Both of these things have been fixed in the code, that means, that one can now have the full communication encrypted.
The patch is available at https://www.preining.info/software/piwigopress.diff
The changes I made are also available via the gitorious project wp-piwigo, see here: https://gitorious.org/wp-piwigo/wp-piwigo/
I would happily contribute this to the subversion and upstream.
Thanks
Norbert
]]>Hi everyone,
I am using PiwigoPress to pull in photos, but since 3.9 (or even 3.8?) clicking on “generate and insert” does not work with more than one (1) photo in the drop zone. Only the *first* photo is inserted.
Is there any way to fix that? Or any hint *how* to fix that?
Thanks

]]>I have pasted the URL of my gallery into the window that asks for it, but no thumbnails appear. No error messages. I have clicked the “start with 5 recent pics” button, the “get more” button, a blue progress bar gives the impression it is trying to download images, but nothing appears.
There is no documentation that I can find on how to actually use this plugin so I have no idea how it is supposed to work outside of looking at screenshots.
Hi,
the plugin works currently only with the demo gallery, as soon as I type my own URL to my Piwigo setup the plugin doesn’t fetch any images. Please let me know how I can help to solve the problem! Many thanks!
