I hope the developer continues working on it, because it is the best open-source Canva alternative that I’ve ever used.

I’ve stumbled upon a rare gem of a plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce.

This nifty tool lets you edit images directly within your media, posts, and products.

The best part? It’s not just for basic tweaks—you can dive in deep and make some seriously advanced modifications right from your site without downloading or uploading anything.

Imagine not having to jump between different software to get that perfect look for your product images. It’s like having a mini Photoshop built right into your site!

This plugin is an absolute game-changer if you’re looking to streamline your workflow and keep everything neatly within WordPress.

Hope this plugin catches on, it’s basic but it does its job well, the ui looks nice and its easy to use. I use it to crop and create different images sizes for each image, therefore it meets my main need. I do want to give it 5 stars but it needs an eraser tool and you have to be careful not clicking export twice, else it could crash your site.

Additional notes:

• Performance, it causes a lot of cpu bursts (50% of cpu at a time); if only one user on your wordpress site is using the editor it’s it’s ok, but i wouldn’t recommend it if you have multiple people that have to use it at a time.
• haven’t had any plugin conflicts.
• Crashed my server when accidently exported an image with file name that already exists – reason for 3 stars instead of 4 stars.

Feature requests:

• AI to generate meta data based on the image as seen in AltText.ai would be great. Naming images and writing descriptions is truly a pain especially for the volume of photos I have to process.
• A magic wand tool / background remover would be nice but not a deal breaker.
• Eraser tool – important.
• Would be nice to see estimate file size when adjusting image quality in export – like in pixlr, the online poto editor.
