im trying to end duplicate content from the web and on my website
i have installed the Plagiarism plugin ver 1.1.0 | ??? seoroma
after i check for duplicates i get this error mostly
and some times no error at all but i never got any info about duplicates
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in /home/kbms……wp-content/plugins/plagiarism/plagiarism.php on line 238

your plugin helped my with my problem after editing a line. The problem: I don’t wanted to know if there are duplicates in other sites of the web but if there are duplicates on my own site.
I’ve edited the following line to get the problem solved:
plagiarism.php Line 393
$domains = explode("\n", $this->get_user_option('plagiarism_exclude_domains'));
reset($domains);
$q = '';
foreach($domains as $domain){
$domain = trim($domain);
if($domain != ''){
$q .= " -site:* +site:$domain";
}
}So with this query “$q .= ” -site:* +site:$domain”;” the plugin is searching the web excluding every site except my own site.
Maybe you can add this function in a more effective way.

hi since the last update.. i am now getting many false +ves marked in red.. When go through to google find that no exact matches were found but there are many wildly broad (non matched really) matched. pieces of text with the words in them but definitely not plagiarism…
