Hello Vladimir,
This plugin has the following Message from WordPress:
This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.
It seems to work fine for me, but could you please check it out with the current PHP and WordPress versions. Thank you.
]]>Hello Vladimir,
I am unable to delete the post, please disregard.
]]>Pretty much as the subject title says; is it compatible?
]]>Hey I would like to ask that :
When I will unistall the plugin I would like to know does it leave left overs ( tables files etc ) on the data base ? or is it deleted complete from everywhere?
Plugins Garbage Collector falsely identifies many tables as unknown. Popular examples are wp_myCRED_log from mycred, and many tables from the Tribulant Newsletters plugin.
Maybe you consider renaming Plugins Garbage Collector into WordPress Garbage Creator because it seems to be a great tool to totally crash your WordPress site. ??
]]>I tested the plugin a couple of days ago on a test system and then it found many old, unused tables. I tried it again on the production system and now it claims the database is clean, but I can still see in phpmyadmin that countless old tables exist.
How can I debug this?
By the way, if I disable all plugins except Plugins Garbage Collector, the plugins throws an error and is unable to scan at all. So it is hard to find out if there is a conflict with another plugin.
]]>I am tyring to delete hidden unused files and I am getting success message for few deletion but after rescanning all those deleted files are showing again.
I also wonder why your plugin name shows ‘Old’. Is there any other new version available to download?
Plugins Garbage Collector (Database Cleanup) Old!
Hi, This plugin is not working on the latest version of WordPress. Please update plugin…….
]]>Hello,
While I definitely can identify some plugins tables, others appear as Unknown. Is there a way to identify the origin of this table?? Even if they show up as Unused, I fear a lot to delete something I cannot fully identify
Thank you and regards
Liliana
]]>Hello I tried to run this plugin with the Search WP tables structure changes (beta – experimental) option selected. I see it is in beta. We have rows in wp_options from old plugins we’re no longer using. I’m wondering if this plugin should be able to clean those up but the beta version is still in testing, or if it is purposely not designed to do that?
I got the message that “Congratulations! It seems that your WordPress database tables structure is not changed”
However I can see the old rows from old plugins in the wp_options table are still there.
Thank you
]]>I’m running on Nginx and receive a 502 Bad Gateway when I try to scan the database. Not sure what’s wrong. Any thoughts?
]]>hi , the plugin works very cool ,it ll be more good if there is bulk selection option for all red marked , and blue marked tables , with this we can handle big databases with tons of tables
]]>Hello,
After one of the operations, I noticed missing first names from Users.php.
I checked in the database and indeed wpstg0_usermeta table has missing First Name rows. The production site still has this row.
Could you please help me rollback or merge my prod table wp_usermeta with wpstg0_usermeta?`
Thanks,
Rajat.
Is this possible to do with this plugin?.
For example viewing tablet settings from deactivated plugins in wp_options?
]]>Hey there!
How do we know which tables are safe to delete? How do we know if it is being used or unused if it says “Unknown”?
I usually search for the table in Google, but don’t usually find any info.
Thanks for your help ??
Best regards,
Pete
Hi,
During the last scan, all the checkboxes in the “Delete” columns dissapeard. I have only checkboxes in the “Hide” Column. Did anyone have such a problem? I did the scan as always, it’s set for “Search none-WP tables” and “Show hidden tables” not set. I have the newest one WP and stable PHP 7 and it was working before.

]]>I absolutely 100% do have tables left behind from old plugins, as I can see them in the database.
However this plugin is not detecting them.
Hello Technical Support team,
For a strange reason, Garbage Collector shows Yoast tables as not in use. I am attaching an image of the problem encountered.
I searched your report history and found a problem similar to the one I am reporting, and the solution given by you was to install the Yost Test Helper Plugin.
I followed the procedure indicated there .., Tools -> Yoast Test -> Reset Indexables Tables & Migrations, but I had no luck. Garbage Collector continues to display Yoast tables as UNUSED.
I would like to send an image, but I can’t see the choice to do that.
Thanks a lot for your help.

]]>Hi, thank you for this great plugin ??
I was wondering if you will ever add the option to clean the Options table in the database?
Thank you
]]>Hello!
First of all, thank you for this useful plugin.
Recently I have 504 errors for my site that is hosted by WPEngine.
WPEngine stated that the problem is a large amount of admin-ajax calls that come from this plugin (in combination with other plugins).
Is there a way for Plugins Garbage Collector (Database Cleanup) developers to reduce these calls?
If that is possible that would be great.
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
I getting the following entry been flagged as Unknown
wp_vwwrA9_un_termmeta
Do you know what this is for and if I can delete please?
Thanks.
]]>Hi,
Can you confirm what the following DB tables as I’m unsure:
wp_tinvwl_items
wp_tinvwl_lists
Can these be deleted?
Many thanks,
Justin
Hi
I, like many others have encountered this error when using PGC, this plugin is a great concept, but the, foreign key constraint issue needs to be looked at. For all but the simplest of Db’s this plugin will fail every time since foreign key relationships are a part of most well designed Dbs. I had about 40 redundant/deleted subsites in my MultiSite. On the plus side you can use the plugin to give you an insight to the garbage to be deleted then do the deletions manually, i used phpMyAdmin (and Adminer as its faster); phpMyAdmin does ask you before ‘dropping tables whether you want to disable foreign key checks; Adminer doesn’t – whichever GUI you use both will bulk delete without issue.
I think the plugin is excellent in terms of gathering the required tables for deletion. May i suggest that instead of offering to delete from the plugin itself that you dynamically create the SQL code which can be cut ‘n pasted into the users MYSQL client GUI of choice and do it from there were the foreign-key constraints can be better dealt with so long as you have sufficient MySQL privileges of course.
Just a suggestion otherwise a superb solution to an age-old WP problem. Of course the real solution would be to implement changes in the way 3rd-pary developers write plugins and ensure every plugin MUST implement FULL garbage collection on deletion of the plugin. Give the user the choice to preserve setting of ‘said’ plugin should they re-install it. However thats a WordPress Core issue.
Nice plugin, good work.
]]>Hello, when I scan the database, the plugin get stuck at 38% on the plugin “Elastic press” for a long time and then give me the error “error – Internal Server error”.
There is a way to by-pass this plugin so that I can complete the scanning?
]]>Hi, thank you for such a great plugin ??
I have a question about some inactive database tables. I have some inactive tables displayed in blue and the plugin is no longer installed but there is no check box available to allow me to delete the tables, is this correct?
Thank you
]]>Hello,
Thank you for the update at last – finally got rid of the mysqli_
warnings.
