Hello,
I’ve set up a forum with bbPress and PMPro that is restricted to members only.
This page is working, showing the “sorry, for members only” message: https://secretsofparis.com/members-community/members-forum/
However this page with the topics is showing: https://secretsofparis.com/forum/members-forum/
It redirects to this URL: https://secretsofparis.com/forums/?noaccess=1
But the content on that page is exactly the same as the content on https://secretsofparis.com/forum/members-forum/, there’s no error message or anything indicating that you need to be a member to see it.
So the issue seems to be what’s being shown on https://secretsofparis.com/forums/?noaccess=1
Is there a way to make sure non-members (or those not logged in) see an error message?
Thank you! ??
This plugin is great except any page I input any of the forum shortcodes on except the login, it removes my logo in my menu (it seems to clash with images) which is my home button as well as the side bar widget, leaving me with a note that says: There is no widget. You should add your widgets into Default sidebar area on Appearance => Widgets of your dashboard. This also bars my users from going back to home page without navigating to another page in my menu first
The widget is definitely there for the page type. When I remove the shortcake, everything return back to normal. Ive cleared cache etc but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
]]>Hello,
I wonder how I can hide topics from restricted forums in bbpress topic index, bbpress search and recent topics sidebar widget?
We have a restricted forum with access only for a specific membership level. This works so far. No other user can access the forum. But all the topics from that forum can be seen in the recent topics sidebar widget, the topic index and in bbpress search. Within the search even the whole topic content.
Recent topics widget: https://ibb.co/HBs9HS9
bbpress topic index: https://ibb.co/gWVf6h6
bbpress search: https://ibb.co/JmFwPjz
This was tested with a user that has no access to this forum.
I have already tried this setting: https://ibb.co/G0bLBk0
I would be grateful for any help.

Hi
Is there a way to redirect users to the membership level page?

Hi there,
I created a forum on a subdomain of my website. To grant access to the forum, I use the Multisite Membership Add on.
Do I have to activate the bbPress integration Add on on the network or on the subsite?
Thank you for your help!

]]>Hi, I’m using Paid Membership Pro with the Paid Memberships Pro – bbPress Add On. I have got it working but a question? I understand the bbpress add on restricts access to registered members only. But i’d like visitors to the site, who have not registered or become a member to be able to read the forum threads and replies. But they have to become a member to post. Is this possible and how please?
I mean it’s normal on a forum to be able to read posts and replies as a non logged in member, but you have to register/log in to post. But with the bbpress paid membership pro plug in, at the moment if the user is not logged in/become a member and its a restricted page for members only he can only see forum post headings.
]]>Just an FYI, I have been troubleshooting a problem in my BBPress forum where photos embedded with Google Photo Embed plugin failed to display, also troubleshooting here via BBPress support.
Long story short, the problem seems to correlate to implementation of PMPro 1.9.4.2.
Through troubleshooting, I have only been able to reinstate functionality of Google Photos Embed within my BBPress forums via rolling back this plugin to 1.5.3.
]]>When I want to update this free plugin from 1.5.3 to 1.5.4, I suddenly get this message:
You must enter a valid PMPro Plus License Key under Settings – PMPro License to update this add on.
That key is paid only.
Can’t be true, right?
Please fix this asap.
Thanks in advance.
HI, thank you always for great plugin.
Instead of just showing error msg, how do i redirect non-subscriber to login/subscribe page?
Thanks in advance
]]>Hi,
Is there any ways of styling the error message a user gets when they click on a forum they dont have access to???
I tried adding my CSS code all over my site (styles.css, under themes, under plugins, pmpro, bbpress, pmpro_bbpress, etc etc) and the plugin DOES NOT load it. It just shows a small message no one ever will see.
Any help will be much appreciated.

]]>I have tested this pretty extensively.
The site maintains styling when not logged in and logged in as a keymaster.
The site loses styling when logged in as a user under keymaster.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
I am debugging the site but no errors are being created. Browser console is not giving any errors either.
]]>I just updated plugins, WP, etc. I now get an error on the site –
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bbp_is_forum() in /home/genesisl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pmpro-bbpress/pmpro-bbpress.php on line 63
Thanks in advance for you help, and let me know what other info you need!
]]>I just installed PMP and was setting up the pages, using the shortcodes, but I encountered the error: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
I’m making new pages (one per shortcode…), that use a special template that just prints: <?php the_content(); ?>
With normal content, everything works, but in the moment I add to the content one of PMP shortcodes, the too many redirects error appear, right now this page: https://bahnon.org.uk/members-account/ has the shortcode: [pmpro_account]
and its also assigned on the admin panel: wp-admin/admin.php?page=pmpro-pagesettings you can see the error… How can I solve this issue?
cheers!
I want to link a page post to a forum post but only for members…

I have built my pages with siteorigin pagebuilder and would like to use Paid Membership Pro to lock down my content. After finding that the content was not restricted, I did a google search and found that the issue is with priority from this 2 year old thread – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/conflict-with-page-builder-by-siteorigin. In this thread you give the code that solves this problem, but I know NOTHING about coding and I have no idea where to add this code. Please would you be able to help me?? Thank you so much.

I’ve installed PMP and PMP – bbPress Add On, added some member levels and restricted the forums to those member levels, but the forums are still showing to the public, unlogged in site visitors.
I’ve deactivated all other plugins except bbpress, PMP & PMP bbpress, but the forums still show.
This is a dev site: https://devhof.churchwebprogram.com/forums/, where you can see the forums that should be restricted.
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/pmpro-bbpress/
What other troubleshooting should come next?
]]>Hello,
Thank you for this great add on .
Changing the admin membership level every time you want to enter a specific forum I think it’s a waste of time , so instead ,the forums must be restricted for only simple users , admins & moderators should access the forums freely , and this is more flexible .
Thank you in advance

Hello,
I have BBPress and BuddyPress installed on a network site.
They are activated on one subsite.
I installed Paid Memberships Pro – bbPress Add On on the network. And then I activated it on the same subsite.
White pages on the subsite front and back.
Thank you for the help.

]]>Hello,
I cant seems to update the plugin.. When going to dashboard, then plugin, and going to the list the clicking on update plugin for bbpress addon, it says plugin updated but when reload or going to another links on the dashboard, it notify me again that the plugin is not updated..
Any advice?
Thank you
]]>I just tried to update pmpro bbpress addon in my wordpress 4.3 installation. Here is the error that appears in the browser on the server after the plugin is activated and I return to the plugins page within the admin panel.
“PHP Warning: get_class() called without object from outside a class in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\sedm.org\httpdocs\wp-content\themes\kleo\kleo-framework\lib\class-tgm-plugin-activation.php on line 3010 PHP Warning: call_user_func() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, first array member is not a valid class name or object in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\sedm.org\httpdocs\wp-content\themes\kleo\kleo-framework\lib\class-tgm-plugin-activation.php on line 3010”
The TGM Plugin Activation plugin seems to be added as part of this update, and it won’t activate. When I try to manually activate the TGM Plugin Activation, the above error happens again.
I am running the Kleo theme, version 3.0.6:
https://seventhqueen.com/themedemo/#kleo
https://seventhqueen.com/premium-wordpress-themes
Also running WordPress 4.3 and PHP 5.5.28. The bbpress pmpro addon is version 1.3.
This problem is similar to the following problem:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/cannot-activate-plugin-fatal-error-3?replies=7#post-7354103
The problem happens even though the TGM Plugin Activation version 2.5.0 is installed as suggested in the above post.
When is this going to be fixed?
]]>As far as I can tell, when this add-on is active, it loads the 75K TGMPA library (class-tgm-plugin-activation.php
) every time WordPress generates any page — and its only purpose is to inform the admin if bbPress and PMPro are not both activated. That seems like wasteful overhead to me. Or am I missing something?
As an experiment, I removed lines 11 through 79 of pmpro-bbpress.php
(the code that loads, configures, and instantiates TGMPA), and I replaced it with this:
if ( defined('PMPRO_VERSION') && class_exists('bbPress') ) :
Plus endif;
at the end of the file.
In other words, the code of this add-on is only executed if both PMPro and bbPress have been loaded. It seems to work fine this way, but please let me know if there is another reason the TGMPA library is used instead.
Thanks!
]]>Every time I attempt to activate the plugin I get the following fatal error
Fatal error: Call to protected TGM_Plugin_Activation::__construct() from invalid context in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pmpro-bbpress/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php on line 953
I can’t seem to find much information on this error either so I’m not sure where it stems from. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!
