The podcasting plug-in adds a link under the player that says “Open Player in New Window”. These are now giving us 404 errors. We want to use the HTML5 player so the podcast can be played on mobile devices.
Why doesn’t the link work? Please give us a way to disable that link or we’ll have to find another player. Thanks.
I have attempted to update a specific podpress feed that just utilizes the podcast category on my website. However the feed with not update the title, nor will it update the current images.
I have selected the title option to be “use only blog name as title” however it continues to append the feed title in the feed.
My feed is here https://www.puclpodcast.com/feed/podcastfeed/
If I could just get an update that would be great. Thanks!
]]>Advanced Category Podcast feed address (URL):
It shows only “uncategorized” as the category podcast feed address.
I added a category called “podcasting”. But no categories that I have created show up as a selection. So, it stays stuck on “uncategorized”.
Because it is a drop down… I don’t have a way to type in “podcasting” in place of “uncategorized”.
So, I cannot use the plug in to do category podcasting.
**I deactivated all plugins… no change. It’s stuck on “uncategorized”.
This happened in setup… so then I will try a different plugin where I can do category podcasting with the category I define.
But, if you can help me with this… then I can come back and upload this program and use it.
Your plugin says that I can put in media from anywhere on the web and podcast it with your program from the URL of the media. (I am just now going to podcast.. so it is all new/unknown to me.)
But, that to me is a huge benefit… and so I’d like to try your plugin.
Thank you!!

In setting page of tsg podcasting plugin
i’ve found really thousand!!! of:
Media Format Feed Definitions that choke my blog home page!
I tried to uninstall and delete all files but when I reinstall the plugin all is still there!!!
How could I re install from scratch this plugin? How could I get rid of all these THOUSAND of lines!
Please help!
I wonder why in my source view home page I list
so many (really many) lines like this:
https://my blog address/feed/podcast/?format=default-format-2615
is it normal? what are they for?
Thanks.
]]>Hey Glenn,
I’ve just noticed that this plugin is inserting literally thousands of lines into my blog posts and pages, as follows. When I disable the post, they go away. I’ve never seen this before, so I assume it’s an anomaly from a recent update. Any way to stop this?
Thanks!
Martin.

If I navigate to the file path directly, the audio does play, so it is not an issue with the file itself. It plays fine in all other browsers.
What is preventing it from playing correctly in IE?
]]>Hello!
I am trying to verify my feed before submitting it to iTunes by subscribing to the feed manually, to make sure the image, author name, description, etc, are all working correctly. I have tried every possible feed I can think of including the one the plugin suggests but all of them show “No Episodes” in iTunes. I have added media correctly I believe (as it is playing with the plugin media player and adding the “open in new window” link below), is there something I am doing wrong?
My podcasts are hosted on my main website, as posts:
https://everythingisawful.applesnacksmag.com/
I tried subscribing to this feed:
https://everythingisawful.applesnacksmag.com/category/podcast/feed/podcast/
It shows the Title incorrectly, no author name, and no episodes.
Anyone else figure this plugin out? Help!
Thanks,
Kelley
The player is not showing up on my main page, or any archive or category pages. ex It shows up just fine on individual post pages. ex
This happened after I updated the plugin from an older 2.* to 3.0.11
]]>If I view my podcast feed
https://pastordoug.minhost.org/category/podcasts/feed/podcast
it shows I have an image, but it doesn’t show any episodes.
If I view my feed by removing the trailing /podcast
https://pastordoug.minhost.org/category/podcasts/feed/
then I see episodes, but I don’t see an image.
iTunes 11.3.1.2 rejects both of them – the first for no episodes, the second for no picture.
What did I miss?
Thanks! Doug
Since a server move a week ago, my podcast feed is empty (there are no items): https://beyondjazz.net/feed/podcast
?
?The category page is https://beyondjazz.net/podcasts (I have the WP No Category Base plugin to remove “/category” from the URL, and the slug is “podcasts” while the category is “podcast”. The category feed is fine: https://beyondjazz.net/podcasts/feed
?
?In the podcasting plugin I have picked the podcast category, and I have already tried adding and removing a podcast post to rebuild the feed, but it stays empty.
Hi,
Does your plugin work with Custom Post Types?
Thanks,
Mike
]]>Hi,
Trying to setup. Podcast links, shows up in the post properly. The feed seems to come up with feedvalidator.org, but gets a 302 Moved error with other feed readers. (including iTunes)
-I disabled all plugins except the podcasting plugin and get same behaviour.
-I have podcasts with the correct category (https://www.unabridgedexcerpt.com/category/episodes/)
-plugin is set to use https://www.unabridgedexcerpt.com/episodes/feed/podcast/
-htaccess rules should not be issue, they are currently reset to standard settings see: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/htaccess (normally have higher security setup)
3.0.5 of podcasting plugin and WP3.8.1
Plugins have been reactivated but they are standard set. I do have JetPack (noticed other support contacts with this, that is why I tested with ONLY podcasting plugin activated)
here are plugins currently installed:
Akismet 2.5.9
Disable Google Fonts 1.0
Jetpack by WordPress.com 2.8
MailChimp for WordPress Lite 1.5.2
Podcasting Plugin by TSG 3.0.5
Symple Shortcodes 1.4
SyntaxHighlighter Evolved 3.1.7
Wordpress Flickr Embed 1.2.2
WordPress Hashcash 4.6
WordPress Importer 0.6.1
WP-Bigfoot 1.0.1
WP List PlugIns 2.2
WP Super Cache 1.4
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Hi, on all of my pages I am now getting the following error:
Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in /home/content/72/6497972/html/wp-content/plugins/podcasting/podcasting-native-player.php on line 351
This happened after I upgraded to version 3.0 of the plugin.

The error is caused in podcasting-settings.php, line 27. The argument for the $capability parameter is “8”, which is deprecated. An easy fix is to use “manage_options” instead.
Would it be possible to fix this in the plugin itself so that I don’t have to fix our local version?

Any suggestions?
