I had this issue but TC, the author of this plug-in was helpful enough to provide a fix as below.

To have the expirey notification email sent to the site admin instead of individual post authors, Go to plugin_folder/post-auto-expire-control.php, look for function apext_notification()

Goto line $author_email = $user_info->user_email; , and change it to your admin email.

This plugin doesn’t work, expiration rules doesn’t apply…

It seems that developer isn’t here, so I need to find another plugin to do the job.

When I add a rule, I get redirected to the general settings screen. The rule is not added and I see no error messages.
I am using the latest version of both the plugin and WordPress. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I have several pages (not posts) that I have scheduled to publish at various times throughout the next 6-8 months. Will this plug-in allow me to also set them to expire? I see that it works for posts, so my question is: Does it work the same way for pages?

So I have this installed and it appears to work (posts expire overnight, so I assume it runs at midnight, though there’s no info).

But how do I exclude a certain post or posts from expiry? Is the only way to pretend they’re published by someone with no expiry rule for their role?

I installed this plugin yesterday and had it set to delete a post after 1 day in a selected category. Earlier today, I received the email confirmation that the post was going to expire but never did.

Is there an issue or perhaps incorrect setting I may have overlooked?

I like this plugin. It’s very useful.
But when I tried to setup the email notification then I got these errors:
