I have topic pages on my site that I would love to display a slider on. I will look at other sliders in the meantime, but I’ve been using this one, and I’d rather buy the premium version of this plugin.

My topic pages display content for a certain person or event that can only be displayed using tags. The content isn’t in one certain category. I tried entering the rag ID number in place of the category ID, but it didn’t work. Is there a workaround to displatpy posts by tag instead of category?

I am unable to remove the social media icon bars on the left side of our posts. These buttons do not actually go to our page and we keep getting that patrons are accessing broken links.

hi there,

in mobile phone view, when the image of the slider occupied most of the width of the screen, the screen cannot scroll vertically when I tried to press on the image within the slider and scroll up and down, the screen just stuck there without any reaction.

No way to make changes to those design-1/2.php, every change will be lost at the first plugin update.

IMO providing a pro version doesn’t mean you can make a free version so poorly written or not implemented the-wordpress-way. Of course this is your business, do what you want. But this is what devs expect in 2024 from any wp plugin.

instead of using this plugin for post can i used for events and in my jobs also

The psac-recent-post-carousel.php file specifies a default image size of “medium-large”. As far as I know, this default size does not exist in wordpress. There is “medium_large”.

This leads to the fact that if you don’t specify the media_size parameter in the shortcode, the image will be used in its original size.

I discovered this when a client’s site had 4k sized background images in the carousel.

Is this a bug, or have I misunderstood something?

We would like to change the HTML-tags for the titles of the articles that the plugin displays in the carousel.

Hello, i’ve recently found about your plugin, it seemed promising, but after setting it, the errors occurs during conflict with other plugins or framework:

PHP Fatal error: Cannot declare class Shortcode_Widget, because the name is already in use in /…/wp-content/plugins/post-carousel/admin/ElementAddons/Shortcode_

Can you advice aside of renaming the references of it?

I have a question about the tags H2 for posts. In my opinion, it would be correct if the titles were H3, or if there was a choice in the settings which tag to choose. In most cases, it will not be semantic. What do you think?

Thanks for the plugin it looks very useful and I might be interested in the premium version if it turns out I need to rearrange the content order.

But first, is there a way of not loading the full size images into the background rule of .psac-post-image-bg? Regardless of the images being a 400px square, they’re loading 2000px wide originals (which we need because elsewhere we use them for banners.

How can I override the carousel template ‘design-2.php’ which is in in the plugins folder (‘plugins/post-slider-and-carousel/templates/carousel/design-2.php’) from the child theme?

I’ve added a shortcode to my site in a column in WPBakery but the slider is showing more than 1 slide at a time. How can I limit the slider to only show 1 slide at a time please?

I’ve added the same shortcode to another page, menus, and there’s only 1 showing on that page. I guess it’s to do with the width of the slider? If I resize the browser window it correctly shows one slide.

I’ve made some changes to the design using css but the same thing happens with the default css.

Is there a way to change the space between the slides in carousel via CSS? So far I use the free version.

Please provide the css to change the color of the navigational arrows, and hover outline box. (the code provided in another post does not work)

Also, is there a way to make all the highlight outlines (boxes) the same size on all posts – when a title is shorter the box is shorter

Created upscrolling Latest Post widget

The scrolling shows the same post 2 or 3 times in scrolling rather than 1,2,3 it shows as 1,2,2,2,3, or 1.2.3.3.3.

it was enough removing two ‘ ‘

so the correct lines are these

$image_bg_css = $feat_image ? " background-image: url(".esc_url( $feat_image )."); " : '';

I found at least one other commenter in this forum who would like this functionality. I have found this plugin to be ideal for the one item I’m using it for: a slider of posts on my home page. I would like to use this for sliders of posts where the only content of the post is an image. It seems to me it wouldn’t be a difficult item to add, but I could be mistaken.

I found a bug on my version (3.1) of the plugin.
Maybe this had happened as it’s a multisite installation.
Anyway I found this fix.

In files

Search “$image_bg_css” and replace the whole row with this:

$image_bg_css = $feat_image ? " background-image: url(".esc_url( $feat_image )."); " : '';

while this was causing the bug:

$image_bg_css = $feat_image ? " background-image: url('".esc_url( $feat_image )."'); " : '';

The html output was

<div class="psac-post-image-bg" style=" background-image: url/('https://...'
