Great plug-in, really useful and a shame it looks like you’re not updating any more.

Do you know why a post called Untitled_01 (02 etc) is created every time a form on our site uses your plugin to update a CPT? It’s not a big problem but our SEO team are not happy that dozens of empty posts keep appearing in the sitemap!

I really love the plugin! There is just one feature i am missing and that is being able to update the date of the post. The published date. Is there any change that you are willing to add this to the plugin? I am also willing to pay a fee to add this functionality.

I have a list of checkboxes to set/update custom taxonomy values but the plugin removes all terms from the post that is being updated. I’ve tried setting the checkbox values to the term IDs, term slugs, and term labels without any luck.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have an ACF image field that returns the image ID. But when I use the upload file field to update the image it just removes the image and doesn’t replace it.

Hi, this seems to work really smoothly when submitting a form the first time, but if i use gravity view to go back and edit an entry it does not get triggered i think when the form entry is updated? i understand that this might be beyond the remit for this plugin, but it would work very nicely if you were able to get them to work together? Or perhaps i have missed something…..

Is it possible to target custom fields on a users profile?

Is there a way to add support for custom post statuses that are already added to WordPress? Maybe like a filter or something? I tried this from GF Documentation and no dice: https://docs.gravityforms.com/gform_post_status_options/

I use the wordpress Members plugin to manage capabilities for specific user roles. For some reason, when this Members plugin is active, the Post Update Add-on settings page returns blank when Admin tries to access. Admin has all capabilities granted. Is there a special capability required by the plugin? What capabilities are required? All other Gravity Forms Add-ons/feeds work properly, just this one does not.

really no clue about this one. I have a dev server where this is working perfectly. On the live site, every change I make (every time I “submit” a form that is using the post update feed), my Custom post gets duplicated and put into draft mode.
ANY help with this would be amazing.
I’m assuming it is not this plugin since the dev site is infuriatingly working just fine.

I’m using GF to create a custom product submission form for our (dokan) vendors and while the submission form is working like a charm, I’m struggling to get the featured image and product gallery to update.

The edit form pulls in a url param, then sets all the various fields, which is all working. I then created a preview panel to show the existing attached images, which is also working, including the ability to remove images from the product.

I’ve set the image field in the update feed and set a meta value for the _product_image_gallery, then showing the submitted image in the confirmation, which is getting picked up, but the images are not being saved to the product.

I had a suspicion that it might have something to do with the media library plugin, so i dug through the plugin code and see it integrates with APC plugin.

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

We’re meant to be launching the marketplace tomorrow and this is the last thing I’m stuck on. Any ideas / suggestions would be very much appreciated ??

I have a custom field that have some data and I want to add data to that field, not override. It is possible to activate “Append Mode” just like in “Custom Taxonomies Override Mode” option but in Custom fields?

Fantastic plugin – I’ve used it with good success for a previous project.

However I’m having issues getting it to run feeds on a new form I’m working on and I cannot for the life of me see where the problem is.

I’ve got a form that I want to process up to 10 updates to posts/pages on.

For some reason, if I set the POST ID in the post update settings with a merge tag – like “{Camp 1 ID:116}” – (which is required for how I’m building this form), it refuses to update, however if I hardcode a post ID in it works fine.

I need this dynamically – any ideas? Willing to pay for time (and I’d pay a license for a pro version of this plugin, too, to be honest!)

Sounds like this is what we need.
GF creates a post for us. We need to allow the user to update the created post.
Is this what this does?
If so, please provide a bit more detail. I have added the feed and a couple fields, but no clue how the user is supposed to be allowed to update their entry.
Please provide some more instructions and/or an example.
Maybe I’m trying to do something this was not intended for??

Not sure if this is still supported. It does nothing when I set this up. It just creates a form entry. Any insights? I turned on error display, but I don’t see any errors. And I see nothing in the dev panel except Chrome errors.

How does one troubleshoot this thing?

The rest you should be able to fill in with your info, and it should update the entry according to the post ID that I have in the URL.

The image is contained within a custom IMAGE field (created by ACF)

It is not working.

Couple of questions ??

1) Can you get the form to pre-populate with the current content of the post (inc custom Meta)
2) Does the form have to go on the same page as the post to work eg.. https://example.com/CPT/Title/

or can it go on an “edit” page such as :

https://example.com/account/edit-listing/?_post_id=75

When I tried the latter it pulled in the page name “Account” rather than the post name.

We would love to see a feature where we can remote update a post from site1 to site2 as an example via webhook or API.

Hi. I’m using the plugin to update custom posts with custom fields (created through acf pro). Mapping form fields to custom fields works fine, however if I leave a form field blank it overwrites the custom field removing the old data. Ideally, it would leave existing field data intact. Is that possible?

When connecting to woocommerce products to update the product the featured image field posts a blank image. Also the checkboxes field pulls in the correct selected items but when clicking post they do not update the product. Can you help with what is causing this issue? All other fields and field types update correctly.

We have installed the addon and are trying to connect a form to update a custom post type we have. Instead, it seems that the form is making a new regular post. I’m a little unclear on how we link the form to the custom post type to update. I am adding the {post_id} in the Target Post Settings but I’m not sure if that is correct.
