Hello, you made a Great plugin! I love it!
Can you allow us to see the chart comparison of posts made on each category per day or at least per month too? not just per year? we will have more zoomed in current data than just per year
Please this would be a great new feature!
Thank you for your help and plugin!
]]>Great plugin.
How would I show post volume over the months for all authors? At the moment I can select different authors to get this data, but can’t see a way to get it for all at once.
]]>We want to show the frequency of posts over time on our tag pages (/tag/tag-name) at the top of the page. Is there a way to use that plugin to add that functionality? Thanks!
]]>That’s basically it. The majority of my posts are within one particular CPT. I want to know of an option or a code for this plugin to display CPT stats.
]]>I’ve just made a small update to the plugin. The main thing is to fix something that was making it not work on very old versions. The PHP feature I was using was actually introduced in PHP 5.4, so it was only PHP 5.3 and before that caused issues.
PHP 5.3 was introduced in 30 June 2009, and support for it was ended in 14 August 2014. The latest version of PHP is 7.3 although a fresh Ubuntu instance may only be using PHP 7.2.
Not sure how many people may have tried to use the plugin with very old versions of PHP but the plugin now works with 5.3. There may be older versions of PHP which still do not work with this plugin. 5.2 for example, was only supported up until 6 January 2011, but people may still be using it.
]]>Hi again,
I am wondering whether you could add some stats about comments? Such as: How many comments per year?
Cheers,
Johannes
Hi,
Suddely, Categories and Tags pies both are showing this following warning on Dashboard:
Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in C:\xampp\htdocs\novo_sisan\wp-content\plugins\post-volume-stats\sdpvs_pie.php on line 23
Can you help me to resolve this?
Best Regards,
]]>Hi, thanks for installing and using “Post Volume Stats“. I greatly appreciate all feedback and requests.
Since WordPress does not email me when a new support request is made please let me know that you have made a support request.
Email is probably the best way to do this but here are some more ways to contact me.
Thanks,
Neil
Hey Neil,
I am additionally interested in “how many days between blogposts”. That is: Could you add another graph chart that shows something like:
0 day (two posts at the same day)
1 day
2 days
3-4 days
5-6 days
1-2 weeks
3-4 weeks
1-2 month
That would be great.
Thanks for that. ??
Johannes
I thought it might be a good idea to have a bugs thread so that anyone can post in here if something is not working.
To begin with, two I’m aware of are…
* “Years” bar chart widget.
* Words per Post: trim excess empty fields.
Hi again,
thanks for the new feature of “word per post”. However, the borders are not optimal for my blog. (I have a huge peak in the last column.) Maybe there are better ideas on how to scale the graph/columns? Of course this heavily depends on the content of the blog. ??
Here is my example:
###
Words per Post
0 – 49 words: 0 posts
50 – 99 words: 2 posts
100 – 149 words: 5 posts
150 – 199 words: 8 posts
200 – 249 words: 6 posts
250 – 299 words: 7 posts
300 – 349 words: 5 posts
350 – 399 words: 5 posts
400 – 449 words: 10 posts
450 – 499 words: 13 posts
500 – 549 words: 9 posts
550 – 599 words: 10 posts
600 – 649 words: 8 posts
650 – 699 words: 6 posts
700 – 749 words: 5 posts
750+ words: 97 posts
###

Johannes
Hello (again),
Another suggestion: the same way your (great) plugin treats category and tags, would it be possible to treat as well custom taxonomy? That’d be awesome ??
Cheers,
Laurent
]]>Hello,
Thx for your great plugin! Would you consider implementing a csv export of the stats? It’d be great!
Cheers,
Laurent
]]>Ok, this is just a minor feature request: In WordPress you have the option to set the “Week starts on” under Settings -> General. Maybe you can read out this value and use it for your “Days of the Week” graph?
(In my case, my week starts with Monday, but your graph starts with Sunday <- which is quite uncommon in Germany.)
Thanks a lot!!
]]>Maybe you can add another graph that shows the authors of the blog posts? (Since I have more than one author.)
]]>Hi,
I have a feature request: Currently you have the following line underneath the graphs:
“188 published posts over 1302 days is 0.144390 posts per day.”
Can you add some more stats to that:
-> A new blog post every XY days.
-> XY posts per week.
-> A new blog post every XY weeks.
-> XY posts per year.
