Good: Media handling. Images turn to galleries, embeds keep working.

Bad: A lot of text in many of the posts is lost. Image order within posts is not preserved. It seems posts that have text and images interleaved are problematic, but also simple posts with text and a couple of images at the end can lose all the text.
Also fails to log in to Posterous account – timeout error.

Previously I’ve tried migrating via import to wordpress.com. Media is handled a lot worse, but most of the posts are at least complete. But still not all of them.

This method worked: it brought all articles and even comments.
I tried other ways which were problematic:

Really happy to share this with everyone here at wp.org – it’s fully tested on Edublogs so should be perfect from the get go.

We’ve been using this on edublogs.org for the last month, lots of people moving from Posterous with is shutting down soon!
