This seems to be the closest thing I am searching for. What I’m really after is a word counter and surprisingly I can’t find any plugins that do that. Is there a setting to make this plugin count words instead of characters? thanks

For translaters and writers it is common to do their work by characters counted.
This plugin helps to do this but problem is that the layout code like from Visual Composer [vc_row] etc… is also count as characters.
It would be nice to also have a true ‘text’ character count, may a second count without the characters whitin the brackets [] is a solution?

How can we modify this little nice plugin, so it will count for Custom Post Types too? I works fine when I edit a CPT, but I get no count in the CPT overview.

in the backend of WordPress I receive a PHP Notice while the debug-mode is on. The message is:

Is it possible to change the hook, that it counts the content and it words AFTER the popular plugin “shortcode exec php” was proceed? That would be really, really helpful. Thx!
