Hi! Thanks for such an amazing plugin (you and i have worked in the past, so a warm Hello from my end!)
I have tried enabling the feature mentioned in the title, and users still cant see the content while logged out. So far ive tried it on two blogs with the latest WP and plugin version.
Can you do me a favor and try it from your end? Id highly appreciate it!

Dear Sir or Madam,
I have a big problem, the plugin is great and so. But the “Mark as done”-function is not working on WordPress 5.6. It will set the hook, but when I refresh the page, the hook is gone.
I have tried a new install of the plugin, but with no success.
I hope you can help me.
Thanks a lot.
Best Wishes,
Stefan
]]>Just installed this plugin to test it out. Seems like a wonderful plugin, but just created a test “to do post” and then realized its not showing because the date is set to January 2021 and you it doesn’t allow me adjust for todays date or any date for that matter.

Anyways, keep up your good work!
]]>Hello,
Thank you for this great plugin.
It would be really great if you could add those two features :
– Ability to assign a post to multiple authors because often an other may not be interessted by the post but another would. So it would be great if we could assign to all users on a specific role.
– Ability to change the assignement (or to edit the todo in general)
]]>Hello. Would it be possible in a future update to have different colors for stories that have been assigned, so Authors will know they have been “taken” and won’t spend time clicking on them? Thanks
]]>Looks like this plugin is not working, displaying an error in both the settings page, and the posts where the list should appear. This error is returned in both locations:
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, first array member is not a valid class name or object in /home4/dnamped/public_html/sacramentodiscgolf/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 298
Here’s the block of code with the referenced line in bold:
// Avoid the array_slice if possible.
if ( $the_['accepted_args'] == 0 ) {
$value = call_user_func_array( $the_['function'], array() );
} elseif ( $the_['accepted_args'] >= $num_args ) {
$value = call_user_func_array( $the_['function'], $args );
} else {
$value = call_user_func_array( $the_['function'], array_slice( $args, 0, (int)$the_['accepted_args'] ) );
}
Line 298 is the one with $args declared
Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks!
]]>Hi there,
I’m looking to use this plugin to post available jobs to a network of freelancers, where I can add a post, and a freelancer can claim the post for themselves (on a first come, first serve basis), which would then display to other users that they had claimed the post and would be completing the job.
I hope this makes sense!
P.S. are there currently any plans to support this on the front end? I’d certainly consider this a premium plugin if you were to develop a front end interface, as I’m sure would lots of users!
Thanks
]]>Is it possible by any chance to color code some posts? like assigned would show up blue, done shows up green, etc… I was thinking css but I’m not sure how.
]]>Hi, I have been using Posts To Do List for about 6 months now, to great success.
However, over the weekend something changed. Now, all my users see global statistics, that is all the posts assigned to everyone, not just to them.
This setting is NOT checked (yet the plugin is behaving as if it is):
Non-administrator users can see posts assigned to other users
I would like to avoid uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling, b/c I have many hundreds of assigned posts. Please help!
Thanksm
]]>Hello,
1/ I love you pluggin but It’s missing something important : a way for the admin to edit one of the item in the to-do list.
I should be able for exemple to edit the note, to reassign it to sombeody, change the title…
2/ Also, It would be great to have different colors based on the priority (or a way to filter by priority)
3/ You could add and “extended view” of the list, where you have thte title of each item + the notes + the assigned writer + the priority
Thank you !
]]>Hallo, how i can see in this page only writing people and not all subscriber?
Ciao, come posso fare a mostrare nella pagina delle statistiche generali sono coloro che possono scrivere e non TUTTI gli iscritti?
Grazie
]]>Hi,
Great Thought, and a fantastic plugin.
Some how there are a few things which confuse the users.
If you can do these changes, it will be a great piece of work.
1) Write it option should only be enabled to the person whom the post is assigned. What is the point in assigning a post if a other users can write on it as well.
2) Mark as done should be a option which either only admin can use or if unchecked then user can use. What is the point if the users mark multiple post as done.
Would definitely like to know your views on the same.

As with many multi-author blogs, my authors do not have access to the back-end. It would be great if this were a front end use plugin.
]]>Once I create a to do and do not assign it, all I can do is assign it to myself. It would be helpful to be able to assign it to another person after creating the to do. For example. I assigned one to myself. Then later on I decided I wanted to assign it to someone else. All I could do is unassign from me, but not reassign.
Or is there a way to do this and I just haven’t figured it out?
]]>Just found your plugin and I think it will be exactly what I need for my multi-author blog, but I have a request (one that was brought up before but hasn’t been implemented that I can tell). Contributors cannot see the To Do List because they do not have manage_options in their role, but I don’t want to give them access to those options. Can you somehow allow Contributors access to see and use the To Do List?
Thanks!
]]>Love the plugin. It’s quickly becoming an important part of our workflow. A couple of features we would like to see:
1) In the “assign posts to a specific user” dropdown: it would be great to limit who appears in that box. We let audience members subscribe to the site, which makes it a challenge to find the names of our writers in the box. Even limiting it based on role (admin, editor, author, etc.) would be a big step forward.
2) Letting an admin edit items posted to the to do list. Sometimes a mistake is made, more information becomes available on a post, or we want to shuffle our priorities a bit. It would be nice to do that without recreating work that has already been done.
3) If an asterisk * appears next to a post assigned to me, I would also like to see a mark next to a post assigned to someone else, like a degree symbol ° angle bracket > or double-cross ? . It all helps to prevent someone from spending time on somebody else’s assignment.
Thanks again, and keep up the good work!

Hey guys,
this plugin seems to be awesome and exactly what I’m looking for. Unfortunately, I can’t get it to work, as WP prevents it from being activated because of an occurring error:
Fatal error: Cannot re-assign auto-global variable _POST in /www/htdocs/w00d8ddf/wp-content/plugins/posts-to-do-list/posts-to-do-list.php on line 379
Plugin v0.9.2 / WP 3.5.2
Any clues how to fix this?
Best regards,
Tim

]]>Hi,
i have a feature suggestion:
– limit author to be able to assign only one post at a time. If he tries to assign another post while he has one uncompleted, it will receive an error “Please complete your first post first”.
– auto-unassign article if it isnt completed in specific time frame set by admin, for example 24 hours.
Great plugin btw!
Thanks
