A new link is added, and the plugin page is not displayed, only the previous link is displayed, but the new link is in the database and can be accessed normally.

I would like to enable people with the Editor role to create pretty links, but I cannot find a way to enable them to do this.

If there is a way, could somebody please point me to it.

Running the WordPress cron (we use WP-CLI: wp cron event run --due-now) results in PHP warnings like this one:

Warning: Undefined property: stdClass::$plugin in /public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-automatic-updater.php on line 228

It seemed these were caused by the plugin property not being set in https://plugins.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/pretty-link/tags/3.6.10/app/controllers/PrliUpdateController.php#L522.

For now, I’ve resolved the issue by hooking into pre_set_site_transient_update_plugins (see code below), but it would be better if this could be fixed in your plugin.

I recently migrated a website to Cloudways, and since then, my PrettyLinks installation has been bugged. I could not see any of the existing Pretty Links, or when creating a new one. I said there was 51 links, but they are invisible.

I have tried everything from deactivating, repairing database tables, fully deleting the plugin (which didn’t delete the links), and now finally today I tried deleting the plugin -> clearing cache -> deleting the two database tables with prli in the name -> clearing cache -> installing plugin: And I still can’t see the links after creating them.

Any advice?

I haven’t used the plugin yet. When you share a link – will it have the same Open Graph properties as the original link? Can I set a custom one?

I’m asking because people share my links on Facebook and WhatsApp and when I use other shortner app – it doesn’t show the featured image, which is big problem for me.

The excerpt is shown at the top of this page and the word recipes should be a link. It works everywhere else but in the excerpt box. Is there some code to add or option to activate which allows the plugin to display in the excerpt?

I’m using the free version of the plugin, I have affiliate links created with “redirect 307”, and all the options selected in the “Advanced” field.

The problem, when consulting the link reports, I see that 2 clicks are always being counted for the same person who clicks on the link, I don’t understand the reason, both appear with the same Timestamp.

Something strange is happening when I try to add some specific links.

For example, when I add https://aviasales.tp.st/jSrk9tjC, the plugin creates a pretty link for it, no problem.
I.e. it would be https://domain.com/korea1

But when I go on and add another link https://aviasales.tp.st/pstgEpHI with a different slug (i.e. https://domain.com/korea2), the plugin does not only do this, but also REPLACES target link, title and slug for the PREVIOUSLY pretty link as well.

So in this case I get two entries for https://domain.com/korea2 leading to https://aviasales.tp.st/pstgEpHI

I mean, I get two absolutely similar pretty links, and the information from the first entry lost.

If I go on and continue adding DIFFERENT links from the same affiliate system, this continues (so I get more and more similar links that are all copies from the last entry). Like, I mean, I can get 5 or 10 identical links instead of different ones, as if they all point to the same line in the database.

Similar effect is happening with my efforts to add links like https://tripster.tp.st/vlTaozT2.

At first this effect seemed to be the case with specific links only, and plugin worked fine for other links. But now I tried to add a pretty link for https://ign.com, and the effect was the same. ??

When pretty links is active, I cannot edit pages/posts with elementor pro. I get theis error “The preview could not be loaded, We’re sorry, but something went wrong. Click on ‘Learn more’ and follow each of the steps to quickly solve it.”

When I disable pretty links, the editor works perfectly.

Is there an option to redirect links based on browser language and not geographic area? I have found that if I put my English X link as my main link, and then set a geographic area such as spain that redirects to Y, I have found that if I live in Spain the system still loads the page (X) first and only after realizing that it is from the Spanish geographic area does it redirect to Y. This slows down the loading time incredibly because it loads the article twice. First in English and then it shows it in Spanish. What can I do to fix it?

Does anyone know how prettylink is tracked? Lets say i have a landning page and a button where my prettylink is connected to a affiliate platform. Do they see my landingpage referal link? Or just the prettylink as referal?

From early April, click analysis no longer counts accesses from servers other than Google. Previously, access was also available via servers such as MSN and Amazon AWS.

I use Pretty Links on my YouTube channel for a cleaner brandable link instead of a bitly link.

I’ve had several comments from people saying the links aren’t working (most do but I’ve gotten this comment 10 times or so).

Someone just commented it was their popup ad blocker stopping them from going to my squeeze page.

I’ve researched this and everything is about hosting images and try using adsanity but that’s nothing to do with my experience.

My traffic flow is:
1. YouTube description link via Pretty Link
2. Either a squeeze page on my site or an affiliate link to advertiser

Any ideas on how to test if my links work against ad blockers and also how to make sure they don’t stop clicks on my links?

We have an issue where the content of a comment on a post is being replaced with another comment’s content. The only relationship is that the incorrect content comes from a reply to the next chronological comment.

Deactivating the Pretty Links plugin resolves the issue. And setting the “Replace in Comments” option to “None” also resolves the issue. We have narrowed it down to the replace_keywords() and/or replace_urls() methods in the PlpKeywordsController and PlpUrlsController classes respectively.

Are you able to assist us in troubleshooting the issue? Any assistant would be greatly appreciated!

I was looking at your plugin Pretty Links, it’s nice!

Currently, when creating or editing a link, the information is divided across three tabs: Basic, Advanced, and Pro. This requires clicking through each tab to see and edit all the details, which can be quite cumbersome. In fact, with frequent link management, it adds dozens or hundreds of unnecessary clicks per day, so this is a no-go, impossible to use this plugin like this.

Question: Is there a way to display all the link information on a single page, similar to how posts and pages are edited?

Hello. The links created via PrettyLinks lead to “self-views” in the database. The calls put a strain on the database of many PrettyLinks with a high click rate. Can this be optimized somehow?

It would be super handy to be able to use the links button in Gutenberg to type the first letters of the link being sought, and Pretty Links be available in the auto-complete options.

I believe this means making the Pretty Links Post Type Public.
