I am having trouble with Quick Print on a wordpress dot com blog. I have submitted a report from inside the wp admin > plugin > help page but haven’t heard back.
I have seen one other post with the issue but I don’t know if there is a clear resolution. The error says
“There seems to be an error initializing. Please verify you are using an up-to-date web browser.
Also check the WP REST API isn’t disabled by a security plugin. Feel free to contact Print My Blog support.”
There is a huge play button where youtube video are placed on page.
How to avoid them?

I was testing the pro version on a site which has pages with ACF fields. Every page has a template.
But I notice that exporting to PDF it only gave blank pages.
So does your software supports ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)? Thanks!
Hi,
I’d like to confirm if the pro version allows me to export individual blogs into individual docs one by one (as word document). I’d like to create an offline content library of all website pages. My primary requirement is just to be able to export all the blogs (and ideally web pages) into individual word documents, not PDFs, with the title and h2s, h3s etc, without any styling.
Hi Michael,
I’m trying to print out a post which is basically just a WordPress Gallery of images. I want the images to be printed full size. I went to the plugin’s settings and set the image size as “Full (theme default)”, but I still get images that are not full size.
I’m not able to sort out this issue. My website (fashiondirections.com) is members-only, so you’d need login credentials to access the post in question. Is there any way you could help me with this?
Thank you!
Filippo

Hi team,
We’re looking for an archival tool to screen capture the content and theme as a historical snapshot on a scheduled basis. This has some features we’d like, while maybe you may be aware of another tool to do this. As time goes by, the waybackwhen machine seems to be one place to “kind of” get that info but its hit or miss on getting a full archive. Thoughts?
Hi! Love the plugin!
Is there any way to add a custom PDF header and footer text to the generated print out?
I’ve tried it with Firefox (abandoned that after seeing the note at the very last step that FF doesn’t have native PDF), Chrome and Edge. I’ve tried it with default settings and customized. It gets to Print-Page Ready with Print to PDF and How? under it. When I click Print to PDF, nothing happens. In the Chrome video, it looks like after clicking Print to PDF another page opens where you can select it to go to PDF and proceed. That doesn’t open for me. Latest versions of all 3 browsers, latest version of WP running Spacious theme. I have 22 plugins including this one. Not sure how to list those with a quick copy & paste. It’s exactly what I need if it would produce the PDF. Thanks in advance!
Using Quick Print on Chrome to create a digital pdf of 20 pages and it renders fine but when I go to print the pdf I get only one page that says ‘You are not allowed to print preview this page, Thank you’. So, I can’t print anything. Please advise.

Everything is working fine. only the post title is not displaying. please help me
link to image (text under the headline was removed for privacy): https://ibb.co/99DZbMK
Page titel directly on pagefold
same result in Edge and Firefox using multiple different settings (print for paper or digital). This does not change if i use A4 or american paper size (headline in same position).
Thank you!
Maybe I’m missing something, but I expected to see a toggle field to disable the Print buttons showing on certain pages, where it would be irrelevant.
Do you have this, or can you add it?
I get the following error every time I try to use Quickprint. I am using the latest versions of Chrome and Safari and as far as I know, I have no security plug-ins that I’ve added to my site (all of the plug-ins, except for Print My Blog, have been added by WP).
“whyweroam.wpcomstaging.com says. There seems to be an error initializing. Please verify you are using an up-to-date web browser. Also check the WP REST API isn’t disabled by a security plugin.Feel free to contact Print My Blog support.”
I can’t seem to get the buttons on the bottom of the page to centre with css. Can you consider adding an option to the button display settings for positioning the buttons left, centre, or right, please?
Kadence Social Share icons plugin is a good example of having these options, and is what I want to centre-align with.

Is there a way to use the plugin where every post gets generated to a separate PDF file?

Hello,
First, I have to say THANK YOU for this plugin! I have an older client who prefers to print everything out to read it so this is going to come in handy!
I’m trying to create a historical archive of her blog and want a digital format so she can have everything in 1 file to copy old content from. Creating a PDF was a breeze, but the text is not coming out copy/paste friendly.
Noticing you have an HTML file version, I gave that a try. When it creates the file, it says “Print-Page Ready” and then has a “Copy to Clipboard” button. Tried that – says it was copied, but nothing pastes. Tried doing right-click Save but that HTML file it just saves the HTML of my wp-admin screen.
Next I tried https://printmy.blog/, thinking maybe it was the styling of their website causing issues. Tried the HTML version there and when I try to open the HTML file a code editor, there’s no actual content there either. It just has the h1 class=”site-title” with site name, a p class=”site-description” and then “Posts published on June 8, 2023, ?from [client’s URL] Printed on June 8, 2023 using /**/Print My Blog. The end.
Sorry to bug you but I can’t find any resources or FAQs on HTML; am I doing something wrong?
Hi, we cannot get this plugin to work in creating a .PDF copy for us. The site is quite large, and we do feature several unique content areas such as Insights, Professionals etc. that the quick print option will not pull (probably doesn’t recognize it as a Page or Post). We we go to generate the PDF we get the following error: “There was an error preparing you content. Please visit the Print help page”
THANKS!

Hi! I am trying to use the quick print feature for my blog with 500+ entries, and I get an error that says “there seems to be an error initializing. Please verify you are using an up-to-date web browser. also check the WP REST API isn’t disabled by a security plugin. Feel free to contact Print My Blog support”. I am not a software engineer or expert in browsers, but I do have an up-to-date web browser. How can I check that the WP REST API isn’t disabled? I really appreciate it – really excited about this plug-in!
Hi. I need to print a pdf on all blogs filtered by a custom query, say “All my favourites” or “My Recipe Collection” or so. Would that be achievable with your plugin ?
Thanks. Peter
Hello. I removed the plugin in the summer. But Google continues to see thousands of links to print-my-blog pages. I cleared the Database and Options in the database, cleared the cache and ran Google check again. The result is the same – even more print-my-blog pages. Of course, they are not indexed, but I would like to remove non-existent links and I have no idea, where to looking for.
A client’s website uses an ACF field to set the author on a standard post. Since they only need the Print My Blog plugin for a little while for internal archival purposes, we’ve taken the verboten step of hacking plugin files to get that custom field in the output. We’ve managed to get the ACF field working in Quick Print via the REST API output, but are having trouble getting that same field output in the Pro Print functionality, for the ‘Classic Digital PDF’ design. Looking at the templates for that design, and this template in particular:
designs –> pdf –> digital –> classic –> templates –> article.php
…it seems as though one could simply replace the standard WP ‘get_the_author()’ function with an ACF one, like ‘get_field(‘blog_author’)’, but that hasn’t worked in our tries. I know it’s unusual to support a template hack, but we’d appreciate any instructions you might have on doing this.
I really wanted to like this plugin! It seemed to offer a simple way for visitors to save our blog articles as pdfs. However, when I tried it out, the pdf versions didn’t display the same as on the blog. When the text wraps around the images, the images are indented in ways they aren’t indented on the blog. I tried to customize the image display with the default (full-size), medium (1/2 size) and small (3/4 size) options, but all appeared out of whack. I attempted to upload screenshots below, but I received a message that file uploading is disabled.
