Hello,
I just installed the SlideShow from Stefan Boonstra (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/slideshow-jquery-image-gallery/)
Everything works fine, but it seems I’ve no control about the z-index.
The slideshow covers another div with a higher z-index. It’s a little bit strange because the slideshow doensn’t cover the main menu.
In the css I gave the slideshow (div homepage-slideshow) a z-index 10, the other parts (content-homepage) z-index 999.
Anyone any idea how to solve this?
]]>So-called simple: “… easy by pasting [promoslider id =” my_id “] …
But – where do I find the ID of the slider to be inserted? I only see the name, description, titleform and so on, but no ID.
How do I add/remove photos from an already installed and operating slider? This is new to me so I need simple instructions. Thank you.

Is there a way to stop automatic slide advancement once the final slide has been reached i.e. Stop the loop??

the background is still a large white rectangle.
Any help?
Thanks!

]]>Best subject line I can think of to describe what is happening after latest update. No css has been touched for the promo slider images. But after slide #2, the next two slides of the exact same dimensions as the first-two, drop about 40-50px off the top. You can see it happening. Please visit here: https://brassringconnections.com and watch the 4 slides. #1 & #2 okay, #3 (chess) & #4 (blue golden gate bridge) drop the top.
Any solution? Ideas?
I have changed css code for an image overlay and text, but this css change was done months ago and all worked fine at that time.
Standing by and I certainly do get tons of mileage from your terrific plugin. So thank you for this.
]]>Hello together,
I built 2 different promotions
(a) “promoslider_querverlinkung” (1 image) and
(b) “promoslider_photos14” (13 images).
I wanted (b) on top of the starting page and (a) on top of the sidebar.
1) The promoslider doesn’t distinguish between (a) and (b), so all images appear in (b).
2) I used the text widget to put the promoslider (a) on top of the sidebar, but it doesn’t appear at all.
I’m using wordpress 4.1, the theme is zeeBudinessPro, the site is
[url]https://zaklin-nastic.de/[/url].
Am I doing something wrong or are this malfunctions?
Best regards

]]>Mr. Wood,
I made the mistake of upgrading WP to 4.0 and now when I activate the Promotion Slider plug-in, the pull down menu and the featured slider does not work. The theme we are using is called Ecclesia, and other plugins include- Bliss Gallery, Connections, Contact form 7, Fancy Dolly, Jetpack, and Dirty Studs. The website is: roseburguu.org
If you can give me a clue on how to fix this problem; it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, can the nav be made visible without having to hover over the image? I’m using Links nav…even thought it shows white arrows in a grey circle….which is fine.
]]>[promoslider] shortcode is inserted into a JQuery Expanding box. The JQuery Expanding Box has width:auto and height:auto css settings to automatically expand in both directions. When the [promoslider] is added to the JQuery Expanding Box with the promoslider css id settings of width:auto and height:auto the JQuery Expanding Box will not expand. However, when the promoslider css is changed to pixel values the JQuery Expanding Box expands and the [promoslider] content is displayed.
Does [promoslider] have the capability of controlling window size with “auto” or “%” settings? The documentation says that it does but I am having no success getting the [promoslider] to respond.
]]>Somehow the navigation thumbnails are no longer displaying horizontally, but instead are stacked vertically on the left-hand side of the homepage. I have switched to default navigation for now but would like to correct this problem.
]]>Hi,
All the images on my sliders already use the alt tag however I’m hoping to be able to add the title tag to the images in my sliders…
Which page of code will I need to edit?
I try to put the same content in the header what you see on https://varosvedo.hu/ directly under the horisontal navigation list. This is made in another plugin but I try to use Promotion slider. I made the promotions and they are in a slider called “ajanlo” and I used the code <?php echo do_shortcode('[promoslider id="ajanlo" width="600px" height="290px"]') ?>
in the theme header. A gray thumbnail-navigation appears and “works” without content and no content at all in the header. Please, tell me, what I can do.
No matter what changes I make to options or css, I can’t control the height and width of the slider. Also, if I choose to display the excerpt, a semi-transparent background is displayed with a width larger that the image. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks!!!

]]>Hello,
I write this in my CSS so the images in my slider will be responsive.
.promo_slider {
max-width: 100%;
height: auto !important;
position: relmative;
border: red 1px solid;
overflow: hidden;
}
.promo_slider img{
max-width: 100%;
height: auto;
}
It works pretty well but my slider nav are out the image on mobile devices because the height: auto !important; property is not overriding the height of the propotion slider wrapper.
The images are greatly scaled but the wrapper keeps the height of desktop media.
Please check this website on a mobile or with screenfly to see what is my issue.

]]>Hi, I recently installed the slider onto a responsive theme. I am having a problem when the site is viewed through a mobile device of if the browser window is scaled down. The slider image “spills” out of the content area.
Is there a way to make the slider responsive like the rest of the theme?

]]>Hey i have installed the promotion slider on my home page as a front banner…
Everything in the site is responsive, but when i scale the window horizontally, the promotion slider image scales, but the div keeps it’s height as a fixed one, so it creates a huge gap between the banner and the content.
How can i fix this and make the div responsive?
example: transpot.totoink.com

I’d like to insert the slider in the header of my page.
At the moment you can see the 960×250 visual of the 2012 theme:
https://ddna.dk
The slider visual should fit exactly into the big header box and change after category.
What’s the code for this?
