If I set the “contacts” to NOT use the Contact Form (ie: uncheck the “USE CONTACT FORM” checkbox in settings) it should *DISABLE* the contact form, not just hide it. I just tested setting it to disabled and yet the direct URL to the contact form still works. I’m having to disable the contact form due to spambots using it and instead resorting to just displaying the email address and hoping that Gmails filters can pick up the slack.
On line 48 of pta-member-directory/includes/pta-display-directory.php I just added an exit(); statement – in theory there should be logic to see if that checkbox is enabled or not. If it’s not enabled it should not render a contact form.

Currently the contact info comes with all consecutive fields, that is one after the other, instead I would like each field to be on a new line.

Trying to figure out how I get the sign up sheet plug in to “see” my positions from the member directory in the drop down box on the “create a new sheet” page. I have positions in my member directory plug in but they are not reflected in the sign up sheet. Thank you!

I recently changed where the website I run for a local charity is hosted and migrated the site using the 1 and 1 All in one migration tool.
Everything with the sign up sheets has come across well, apart from when a sign up is made, the page hangs. The sign up is successful (the database updates) however, no confirmation message is shown after a successful sign up. If there is an error in the signup form details, the error message is shown. As far as I can tell, the network request for the POST request remains pending and eventually times out.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this behaviour?

They are presently inheriting it from H1 of my theme
and my CSS Editor doesn’t seem to be able to fix the font.
I need to change the titles to either H2 or H3 of my theme or find a way to edit the plugin file but I don’t know how to code.

]]>I have 2 separate pages for Officers and Members (using shortcodes to differentiate, where Location=Officers OR Members) and, on the latter, I would like to omit the Position column as Members do not have Positions. How can I do this?
]]>There appears to be bug where if there is a location and position with the same name, they act like the same field (at least in the edit member form). For example, we have a location “Technology” for our technology department and a position “Technology” for our districts main contact form that represents the external contact for technology.
If you try to add anyone to the location “Technology”, that automatically get the position “Technology”. Neither tag can be removed unless you uncheck both of them and then save.

I have not been able to set the option to restrict logged on people that can see the directory to “contributors”. It doesn’t let people see until they are logged on, but even “Subscribers” can see, no matter how i set the option. Any ideas? I also have PTA Volunteer Sign-up sheets installed too.
The reply-to on the contact form is the webmaster. Is there a way to change it so that the reply-to is whomever is the the recipient in the contact form? Thank you!
]]>The directory had been working. And when I went to that page where I use the shortcode [pta_member_directory], it shows this:
“Sorry! There is nothing to display yet.”
I tried increasing PHP memory per an earlier message, but that didn’t work.
But the Contact Form shortcode [pta_member_contact] works fine.

If I try to add two phone numbers with a line break between, such as (111)222-3333<br>(444)555-6666, the “<br>” is removed. The same goes for two emails.
It would be more useful if these characters were left in place!
I am using the plugin for 2 different pages — one with Location=”Members” and one with Location=”Officers”. The Officers page works exactly as it should. But the Members page HTML terminates after: <!– .entry-header –><div class=”entry-content” itemprop=”text”>
What SHOULD follow is: <div class=”ptamd_directory_table”><h3 class=”ptamd_location_header”> : Members</h3>
But the HTML nevers gets there. Why??

]]>I found a solution to my problem on no email being sent but I am concerned that if I install the plugin you recommend below it will deactivate email in another plugin. I am using wishlistmember which also sends email. Will this affect that plugin?
Here is the solution I found..
try the Easy WP SMTP plugin and set up your WordPress emails to be sent through an SMTP email account. That plugin also has a simple Test in it that you can use to send emails and trouble shoot your email settings until you get it working correctly. That should help you fix problems of emails not getting sent/delivered. It has nothing to do with my plugin, but the way that WordPress sends emails not being compatible with all servers and/or rejected by a lot of email accounts. When you install Easy WP SMTP, it will hook into the WordPress mail function and change it to use SMTP. WordPress already has the PHP Mailer class built-in, but there is no way to configure it to use SMTP without another plugin. Without that being sent, WordPress tries to send email using the simple PHP sendmail function, which doesn’t work on some servers, and which has no authentication so it is often rejected or block by the email servers you are sending to.

One thing I noticed that is odd to me is the ‘members’ position is not attached to each person’s name, rather it’s grouped to all of the ‘members’. Is there any way to make the ‘members’ position attached to every name like the other positions are?

I can add tasks fine, but when entering times I’m getting an error message that reads “Invalid time format for time_start
Invalid time format for time_end”
Have I missed something in the setup? There isn’t another format I can use since I have to use the sliders.

When using the contact form on a page or automatically rendering the contact form an error on the page occurs whereby the sidebar is merged with the footer and the entire body cannot be seen just a stretched footer.

Is it possible to linking the Names in the Directory view directly to the corresponding Contact Form, instead of using the Contact Form Link?

I like this pluging but one question. Can I make somehow my own template? I don’t really like the way it outputs stuff in tables etc. I would like to make my own template for this. I know I can do custom template for this and use normal WP query stuff to get data but is this the way to go? Thanks!

It took me time to figure it out, but it isn’t a plugin conflict. Using a theme called Socrates, I find that the dashboard doesn’t display the “Members” controls. I only have access to adding a Member from the “New” dropdown along the admin header bar.
If I switch to the twenty-fourteen theme, all is as it should be.
Can anything be done, short of scrapping the Socrates theme, to force it to accept the plugin? I’ve spent a lot of time tweaking it and for somebody like me who knows nothing about “hooks” and such terminology, I’m always surprised I don’t destroy a site (Copying and saving original files is a lifesaver for me).
Any advice you might provide would be greatly appreciated.
