but here is a detailed way on how to change the post type savely:

(i tried the plugin: it changed some ‘old’ post types, but not all. and it couldn’t find these lost ones, so i took a shot at the database directly and now all is fine)

i first disabled WPML (as suggested on WPML), did the conversion and it worked (WPML translations showed up as different pages).
then i re-activated WMPL and clicked on ‘Remove ghost entries from the translation tables’ and ‘Set language information’ after re-activation: no trace of the new page.
any help?
This works at first (and slug is maintained from post > page), but if I edit or quick edit the converted page, the slug gets appended with a “-2”.

]]>Hi,
after conversion from PHPNUKE to WP I have to make order in post/page migrated so your plugin is perfect for me.
I used it but after the conversion post to page (successfully), the pages converted do not appear in the list of pages. In my WP I installed the CMS TREE view plugin and with the tree view I see the pages converted but there I cant’ manage the translations (WPML) and set SEO parameters.
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance
Plugin seems to convert pages to posts (change post type in the DB), but the converted posts does not show up in the posts section. Converting them back to pages works.
]]>The PLugin works well but when I converted a page to a post the summary does not include the first words. Instead it has my featured image and the word Array along with the Read More link.
]]>My site: https://allticketsinc.com
Part of the site is a listing of Broadway Theatre venues.
I started making these as pages, but then used this plugin to convert them to posts (love the plugin).
I am also using the Google Comprehensive Map Plugin. It links icons back to the page or post in which they are embeded on this page: https://allticketsinc.com/?page_id=5867
The problem is that the google plugin is giving me a PAGE formatted address i.e. (?page_id=1234) rather than a POST address (i.e. ?p=1234).
For some reason, it still sees these id’s as pages, rather than as posts.
I am not sure how to rectify this.
]]>Converted my pages to posts. The plugin worked. I can see the posts but the Yoast breadcrumb which I have enabled on the single post page is showing the old “page category” as its root.
so my old page from /home/boatprojects/whatever_page
now shows the breadcrumb /home/boatprojects/whatever_post
instead of the category it is in now /home/boats/whatever_post
Do you know if perhaps the conversion to post process missed a table somewhere that the breadcrumb script is using?

It would be great if we could filter the list by post type and sort it by date etc.
Thanks for your work on this tool.
