Hi. The issue occurs when setting an exact category number while having RankMath’s “Primary Taxonomy” feature enabled (set to category (default) under RankMath > Titles & Metas > Post Types > Posts), using the classic editor. Gutenberg appears to be unaffected.
Posts will load fine, but any change to the categories will cause the category count item on the checklist to invalidate. It does not validate again until the page is reloaded/draft saved. This is true whether it’s set to recommended or required. Just setting the minimum or maximum has no issue.
var obj = $('#categorychecklist input:checked');
That line (1103 in meta-box.js), when evaluated in the console with a single category selected (whether from the DB or after live changes) returns a length of 2 with primary taxonomy enabled and a length of 1 with it disabled. Again, it only occurs on exact (min 1, max 1 in my case). The existence/use of parent and children categories makes no difference.
I’ve been experiencing this issue for quite some time. I ended up just disabling Checklists and going to a different plugin without digging too far into it. Now, I have a use case for the PublishPress Pro bundle, so I dug in. I was having the issue before switching from Yoast Pro to RankMath, which also has a primary category feature, but I did not note the versions before deleting Yoast (I made the switch about 1 month ago).

Hi there,
We are trying to generate OpenAI tasks for every Custom Post Type in our site, but when we are in the second (anywhere except the first one) post type, and then go to Custom > Add custom task, the page does nothing.
This works flawlesly on the first custom post; seems like an issue with the tabs switcher…
Regards!

It’s seem to come with the last update with prohibited tags and category.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
]]>The Publishpress Checklist plugin seems to be incompatible with Yoast SEO. YoastSEO features in the post edit screen (such as Search Results Appearances or “traffic lights”) do not work if Checklist is enabled. Disabling Publishpress Checklist makes everything work properly again.
]]>I’m on WP 6.6.1
Plugin Version 2.12.0
A while back I asked about a test to see if featured image has alt text. You have now added that. Thank you ??!!
But sometimes it fails the test even when I have alt text. I currently also have the default check for requiring a featured image. That works just fine.
My process to add a featured image is to click the set featured image button:
I then drag and drop my image into the gallery. (This has been successful in the past and is now) I then type in the alt text and click the set featured image button to save it.
The problem is that the test doesn’t always pass. If it does not, I open up the featured image again. The alt text is there. I then go back to editing and suddenly the test passes.
So it does work eventually. But we shouldn’t have to go in twice.
Please let me know if I can do any testing for you.
Thanks for this excellent plugin!

]]>Hi, it looks like the latest version of the PublishPress Checklists plugin (2.11.0) is currently preventing any saving of drafts, adding of featured images and publishing of pages and posts. This doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the checklist requirements, as they can be met and I’m still unable to do those things. Disabling the plugin fixes those issues. I’ve tried different themes and disabled all other plugins so this doesn’t seem to be a conflict, but some issue with the plugin itself. Thanks.
]]>I just upgraded to WP 6.6.
I use the latest version of PublishPress Checklists (PPC) 2.11.0.
I’m not sure if the problem started when I was upgraded to WP 6.6 or when I upgraded to PPC 2.11.0. They happen automatically.
When I click on “Add an excerpt” and I add text to the dialog box that pops up, closing the box does not save the text. Clicking on the “X”, clicking outside the box, and clicking “Add an excerpt” will all save the text when I disable PPC. But it will not when I have PPC activated.
One of my check list items is “Minimum of 5 characters in excerpt”. Whether or not I have this as a checklist item, the problem persists.
I have disabled all other plugins. The only plugin that causes this problem is PPC.
When I roll back to PPC 2.10.4 or 2.10.3 it does not work.
When I roll back to 2.10.2, 2.10.0, or 2.9.1 then everything works.
Please let me know if I can provide more information. This is a wonderful plugin and I really want to keep using it.

In checklist I set that Featured Image is required for everyone without exclusions. Today I noticed that it’s still possible to schedule a post without it. So it means that required is ignored somehow. Could you check what’s the reason behind that?

]]>Hello support,
The plugin still behaves buggy. The issues now is that when the plugin is enabled, I can’t select a category in the post. Somehow the mark is not shown after clicking, and also not selected after a reload, see screenshot.
When I disable the plugin the categories work fine. For now I keep it disabled as the post also loads faster after publishing.
I really hope you can solve this issue as I miss using it.
Thank you,
Yolanda

Hello support,
After reading the last topic about a severe bug (this one), I was hoping my issues was solved after your last update as well. But unfortunately not.
After your update 2.10.0 I have an issue editing a post. My browser is having a hard time saving, sometimes it’s not possible to save at all. When it’s taking too long, my browsers shows a warning bar that the page is taking too much loading time with a button to STOP it.
When I disable the Checklist plugin, the issue is gone.
Can you please check for further bugs for this issue? I really love this plugin, so I’d miss it servery if I had to uninstall it.
]]>The latest version introduced a bug where while editing an existing published post, the plugin would trigger a post update instead of just an auto save. This means that while you are editing posts, they are also updated periodically in the frontend. This makes this version of the plugin unusable.
There’s also another less severe bug: if the featured image checklist item is enabled, the plugin will keep requesting and downloading the featured image file, resulting in a continuous network transfer while editing a post.

]]>Hi,
It appears that the PublishPress Checklists plugin is causing an issue with our Rank Math plugin in WordPress.
We’ve encountered a problem wherein, with PublishPress Checklists activated, our Rank Math side panel in the post editor fails to update correctly when changes are made to the article. However, when we disable the PublishPress Checklists plugin, Rank Math functions as expected.
We are running the latest version of WordPress, and all plugins are updated to their latest versions. Could you investigate this issue? Thank you!

In terms of consistency settings pages should not be placed as parent menu items, they belong inside the general settings sections.
