Hello,

Is there still any support for this plugin ?

I have it installed on 3 of my websites since 2013, and some issues have appeared.

For example, when I click on one of my questions in my FAQs, instead of expanding/collapsing, the question and answer opens up in a new window…

Is there anything I can do to fix this ?
Otherwise I’ll have to create new FAQs with other plugins, and start all over again for hundreds of questions… :/

Hi there,
Love your plugin, it’s the best I could find out here. Unfortunately it stops working when I enable my caching plugin. I’m using the Geodirectory plugin with several of it’s addon including the GD Booster caching addon. Basically what happens is that clicking on the questions has no effect whatsoever once the caching plugin is enabled.

I am using this module. When I going to the question by navigating through the links, I does not get the feed by appending the /feed
That is /blog/faqs/what-is-this/ gives the q&a page. But /blog/faqs/what-is-this/feed/ gives a 404 page. When I change the name faqs which is given in the FAQ Homepage setting of the module, I got the feed, like this /blog/xyzanyname/what-is-this/feed gives the feed

What post file is the FAQ using? I want to use a blockquote for the title, so I want to not display the post title. I haven’t been able to find which post file I need to modify to ignore the post title.

When we search any keyword it shows all the questions having related keyword and when we click on the question it opens a new window and shows only answer of the question without the question or title, can we add question there?

Just installed.

It seems the developer is no longer supporting it. It’s been almost a year with no developer activity. So although the plugin is great, you might want to look elsewhere ??

When searching the FAQ, https://www.autopilot.dk/faq it always returns:

Nothing Found
Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. Please try again with some different keywords.

I can see the words I’m searching for in the categories below.

Regular Search is working on the rest of the WP site.

This is a fresh install – I can’t verify that its ever worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ??

Hi,
Today I received an error in my webmaster tools saying that I have excessive 404’s. When I click on a FAQ the question and answer open without a problem. Each question is a link. If I copy the URL and then try to go to that URL I get a 404. How can I link these question to the URL?

Hello,

we are using the plugins “qTranslate-X” and “Q and A Focus Plus FAQ”.

Our Problem is that links from “Q and A Focus Plus FAQ” are wrong. The format is https://mysite.com/?lang=en/faqs. Correct is https://mysite.com/faqs/?lang=en. While searching for a solution I’m searching the sourcode of “Q and A Focus Plus FAQ” and found many places like home_url() . '/' . $qafp_options['faq_slug']. After reading the documentation I think every place in code with this useage must be changed to home_url('/' . $qafp_options['faq_slug']).

Am I right? If yes can you change it in the next release please?

When clicking on a highlighted question the user is directed to a new page which contains only that question and answer. I’d like to have the user stay on the FAQ page and when they click on the question the answer is revealed below. Any help would be appreciated.

I display permalinks to the individual posts for each FAQ however when I click on them, the title (the question itself) does not display. Only the answer appears.

I would like to make a suggestion to improve the search code. It would be great if you change and integrate it into the next version.

First please change the shortcodes.php line 584 from

Additionally change q-a-focus-plus.min.js

The current version can’t handle parameters in the url (like the “?lang=en” from qTranslate-x). With my changes it should work.

Hack to fix broken search

Please Note: I am providing this fix because it was a problem I was banging my head against for a while, and I hope to help anyone having the same issue. This is very much a hack. Making the changes I suggest below might break your site, ruin your business, or cause your in-laws to move in with you. I was having an issue where my search results would not page forward past the first page. It would change the URL, but the results would not refresh and show the next page.

I noticed that while a URL like this did not show the second page of results:
https:///faq/search/ip/page/2/

If I removed the name of the FAQ page from the URL manually (in the above example it is “faq”) and submitted the request, it did present the second page of results:

https:///search/ip/page/2/

I made an edit to the q-and-a-focus-plus-faq/inc/functions.php file that would prevent the rewrite rule from being created with the FAQ name in the URL. Specifically, I made the following edit:

	if ( ! $qafp_options['faq_slug'] ) { $qafp_options['faq_slug'] = ''; } else { $qafp_options['faq_slug'] = strtolower( $qafp_options['faq_slug'] ); }

The change I made was to set the value of $qafp_options[faq_slug] to an empty string if the value is blank in the admin settings. That changed the URL to one that worked and now my search page works.

Before you make this change I recommend you make a copy of the q-and-a-focus-plus-faq/inc/functions.php file in case you make a mistake while editing or the change breaks your site.
