The best free of cost complete chat solution I found for WordPress after searching for hours. Works right out of the box and works awesome, works perfectly fine with 5.2. Oh did I mention, it works like a charm.

Works like a charm but gets only two stars cause of resource usage, says in the description that it only requests admin-ajax.php when theres new messages but as long as the chat is open it requests atleast once every ten seconds.it used all of my CPU time in two days.

That is a great app and thanks a lot for the developer.
I recently started using it and here are the issues i see for mobile;
– On mobile (android and ios) sound effect is not working,
– You can’t understand if someone is asking you to join a private chat, it is just written in main chat area, no option to click and start it from the message, you need to go and find that person nick on top menu.
– In mobile hard to see the first message as windows goes up a lot,
– close and hide buttons are too close to each other, could be great if they were more apart.
– In desktop and mobile there is no send button, you need to press enter…could be great if there was a send button,
– you can’t send images

It’s really hard to find a free great chat plugin. This is one. The only thing is, you can change name anytime. It should not do that. Username should not be changeable once entered. Anyway, great chat plugin. I like it.

I was about to start a webinar with 100 or so people and Quick Chat brought down the database server.
The comments below about it being resource-hungry are correct, I wish I’d read them before installing.

I copy / pasted plugin from a project that was for sure working. When I activate it, the ENTIRE site slows to a crawl.

Excellent plugin. Is it possible to have the chat automatically scroll to bottom to show latest chat conversation rather than always starting from the very beginning which could be days old?

I have pretty much all the bells and whistles on the domain I’m using this, and it’s SSL’d … so plugin conflicts happen.
Not with this plugin, however. It’s simple, minimalistic, and took me about 30 seconds to set up — and the quick flag sister-plugin is a bonus.

As stated before, it completely takes all the processes away from the site and renders it unreachable. I’ve de and re-installed it to no avail. Great plugin when it worked but can’t take more than a few users online at a time I think.

Very nice and handy plugin. But to use a nickname instead of username is wrong and dangerous. This is a bad idea. Unfortunately, it is impossible to use the plugin.

I’ve just installed QuickChat and have a couple of queries – I hope someone can help ?? Firstly, How do Guests become members ? On the Guest page the words Guest*** are frozen, cannot type anything in that box so Im stuck… Also, how do you assign Avatars ?
