I’m wondering if it’s possible to use this plugin so that users of my website could copy the code of my quote, and embed it in their own sites. Then if I changed mine it automatically updates on theirs?

I would like to show a list of quotes (e.g. by category) but non randomized. Simply the list ordered as I entered all my quotes.
When I use [quotes all=”yes” cate=”xxxxx”] or [mlw_quotes all=”yes” cate=”xxxxx”] it always displays the list of quotes in a random way.

Great plugin. We just recently switch our entire site to SSL and https. We have updated all the links accross the site but your plugin is resisting our best efforts.
The page url that gets tweeted won’t change from https:// to https://
Any ideas why?
We have used regex and normal find and replace, plus the GUID but no luck.
We have about 100 quotes across the site. How can we update all the links??

]]>Thank you for this great looking plugin – everything looks great but I decided I would try to import my quotes as I have hundreds of them. The only problem I am having is I get the following message :
Custom Field Value template is invalid: Unexpected symbol ' - When using shortcodes/PHP functions, use double quotes ", not single quotes '
I tried to figure it out on my own and see that this is a relatively new change to the shortcode API but I have no idea how to change it.
Any assistance you might be able to give would be greatly appreciated.

I tried a few edits to the “custom” window (settings) and all I was able to do was break the formatting altogether with the resultant font around 10pt, sans line breaks, and remove spacing.
The other thing I would like to do is prevent the plugin from hyphenating words. But I think that is a WP theme edit?

I would like to be able to remove the ~ before the author’s name and the label Source: before the source of the quote.
I’m assuming they are built into one of the .php files, but I haven’t had any luck finding it so far.

Quote Master has just the right amount of complexity for my needs, so thank you for a nice, clean plugin.
I have WordPress 4.3, Site Origin’s Page Builder with their Vantage theme, WooCommerce, Meta Slider, WP Menu Cart Pro, and TinyMCE Widget plugins. Not a lot, but maybe some resource consuming plugins.
I have placed the Quote Master plugin in the sidebar on my “Inspiration” page (where it currently is), but also just used the shortcode [quotes] in the footer (where I deactivated it), and in both cases cannot see anything but the last entered quote. Do you have suggestions for what I could try next?

]]>Just updated a site of a client and had to reactivate quotes and now it is updated. However the short codes to no longer load quotemaster categories. Any idea how to make [mlw_quotes cate=4] work again?
I like your quote plugin a lot, however, have a problem. When listing posts on my website by all authors (admins included), it lists the quotes as well. I can’t have this since the list should be specific to particular categories. The plugin for creating my lists has an option to exclude certain categories but categories created by Quote Master do not show up there so the quotes aren’t filtered out. Even if I add the only Quote Master category (quotes) to the shortcode of the list plugin, it still lists them.
I’ve looked at other plugins that deal with categories too and it appears none of them recognize Quote Master categories.
What to do?

]]>I am having the same problem as an earlier support entry. Its strange because I installed the plugin on the beta version of my site on a different network and it works just fine and continues to work fine. That other network is on the same account with the same host, just installed in a different sub-folder. The plug ins on each are the same, and the theme is the same. The only difference I can think of is that is that I named the tables on this new site WP_*****_ where the ***** represents some random letters and numbers. Also the new site is running on https
In the admin menu, I can click on the quote menu and view the quotations, but the edit, delete, and add quote buttons do nothing. I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it but this did not help. I really like this plug in and am hoping the problem can be solved.

Hello everyone,
I am wondering if anyone else who installed Quote Master is experiencing problems to access their Dashboard in the admin area. The message I now get when I click on the black bar is “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” I think that coincides with the moment when I installed Quote Master.
I manage to get round it by clicking on Widgets which gives me access to the full menus, but that problem is preventing me from updating the theme from WP 4.0.1 to WP 4.1.
Quote Master is a fantastic plugin and I would hate to have to deactivate it because I have a lot of quotes in it.

]]>I use another plugin on a few sites (Explanatory Dictionary) and a little while ago they changed the architecture of the plugin to use custom post types. At the time I though it was a bit ho-hum, however I have now realized that it has opened the plugin up to be a whole lot more useful, supporting pictures, hyperlinks and all manner of possibilities.
I am not sure how much work it would be, however for Quote Master to change to use a Custom Post Type in it’s architecture, which would essentially enable the standard post text editor, or Black Studio Tiny MCE extensions etc.
