Hi!
Long time! I think despite the many changes and improvements to multisite over the years, this plugin is still needed when having the word “/blog” in the slug/url does not make sense for a multisite installation.
I’ve been checking the code to see if there is anything that might now be considered untoward or that has become out of date, and I think it’s ok (to be honest, I think I haven’t checked in a year or so). It’s working on my installation of 6.1.1.
Is there a preference for helping out with this plugin to update that it has been tested with more recent versions. Or should I create a “new” plugin and submit that?
Thanks!

Hi,
That’s a great plugin.
Is there a way to remove “Blog” also from the breadcrumbs?
I made a page called “News” as the posts page. The URL has no “blog” now and this is what I wanted, but the breadcrumbs are:
Home > Blog > News > Article Name
The Blog and News link is the same: website.com/news
I hope you can help.
Thank you.
Regards,
Alin

]]>Any need for this plugin now when you can remove the /blog part from the permalink structure?

]]>Hello
First of all thanks for thinking on creating a script for this problem.
I just tested the plugin and on 4.2.2 with multisite and active subcategories the plugin returns a 404 with a /%category%/%post-name%/ permalink.
Example current url with the plugin active, with the above permalink.
domain.com/category/article – works
domain.com/category – works
domain.com/category/subcategory – 404
domain.com/subcategory/article/ 404
If I add manually /blog/ before url in the 404 from above, the link works, just not by the without old blog path suppressed by the plugin.
Help.
