On sites where nonce isn’t an issue, Rapid seems to work fine. Thx for an otherwise smooth migration path from Comet!

Hi,

Right now Rapid Cache with auto-preload, executes every 15 minutes. That means it preloads all the posts etc every 15 minutes, no matter what.

This is (in my opinion) a wrong approach. I have 827 posts and i can’t let this happen.

Auto preload should happen only when the whole cache is auto-cleared for any reason, manually or automatically.

I am using your plugin on some of my customers’ sites and am very happy with it. So first of all: Thanks a lot! ??

My question is:

By default posts get cached when “the first user” visits it. The next visitor(s) get(s) served the cached version. Is there an option (some kind of API, hook or something) to preload posts manually?

On one of my sites I would like to create some kind of cron job that preloads the cache somewhere around midnight. So that even “the first user” gets a cached version since it has been preloaded before.

Is there a way to manage what objects not to be cached?

For example I have an ACF Block which displays randomly an image from a number of images submitted by the web designer. The script gets the url of the random image and displays it on the site. Of course when the page is cached, the php script is executed just the first time during the cache generation, so you always get the same image.

Is there a way to tell Rapid Cache not to cache a certain Gutenberg Block for example?

I have geolocate enabled on server side, do i need to enable the default woocommerce geolocate via woocommerce plugin?

The automatic cache clearing nukes the cache when I do anything, 95% of which is no reason to clear the cache. If I’m working on the website, which is much of the time, I essentially have no cache because it is so frequently cleared.

I’ve got to be able to turn that off completely or have some finer control over it.

Is there a way to update the cache file only for an edited page, instead of the entire site when one page is updated?

Currently, when the plugin starts new, it seems to populate the cache as pages are hit. Is there a way to “preload” the cache for the whole site?

I just switched from another popular cache plugin. Things seem to be working well, except for the 404 page. I have it set to “No, do NOT cache (or serve cached file) for 404 requests”. But it is caching and serving it. I tried toggling the setting (which deleted the whole cache), and when I went to a nonexistent URL, it cached it again.

This wouldn’t be so bad, except for some reason the cached page has a heading with a particular blog post title, which is inappropriate.

With the old and trusted Comet Cache,when we purged (FVM Purge) from High Velocity optimizer, we got an information that Comet Cache cache is ALSO purged.

Now we do not get that and Rapid Cache cache is NOT purged. We have to manually do it.
