I used this plugin, but starting this year I get 10..200 attempts per day to log from bots. Be aware of using this plugin! It used XML-RPC to provide login via LinkedIn and it makes your WP site vulnerable.
Hi Robert, really nice lightweight plugin here.
Can you please advise on the cleanest way to replace the login button without editing the core plugin files?
A lot of images like sprite and to scds folder are being called from css files
plugins/rdp-linkedin-login/pl/style/linkedin.common.css
These are not available in the plugin folder
e.g. /scds/common/u/img/bg/bg_opengroups_598x277.png
These throws an error when checked from drlinkcheck.com
Hi there we seem to be having issue with the login function. It simply does not seem to open a login page.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I posted in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/getting-error-unable-to-complete-login-process-please-try-again/ but just noticed it’s marked as Resolved.
I’m also getting the popup with “Unable to complete login process.
Please try again.” and the popup stays open. If I reload, the login did work.
Any ideas?
I click on the button and nothing happens
Hi,
your plugin works fine and we have used it to extend some functionalities with LinkedIn.
One little question: how can I redirect users after they’ve logged-in? I’ve tried different hooks but the redirection keeps the user in popup.
Thanks
We have successfully installed the plugin on our site. Users can now login using LinkedIn. However, after entering a LinkedIn e-mail & password, the authentication redirects you to a blank screen rather than back to the homepage of the website. Any ideas what might be causing this? We have tried to correct this to no avail.
Thank you for any help you can provide!

I am keep on getting the following error once the user’s credentials are verified successfully.
Unable to complete login process.
Please try again.

Hi Robert,
Hope you are doing great.
Robert I want to point out you 2 main concerns regarding Linkedin Filter Scope Name & missing filter for profile parameters.
Filter name defined for LinkedIn scope is “rdp_ll_app_scope_filter” but you mentioned filter name “rdp_ll_app_scope” in other notes.
Secondly you gave the functionality to extend the LinkedIn scope but you have not provide us the filter to fetch the parameters which we fetch only when we are using partner plan. for instance
your default profile parameters list is “/v1/people/~:(firstName,lastName,email-address,picture-url,id,public-profile-url,location,headline,summary”
But lets say I want to fetch some other parameters too then what will we do except to add the additional parameters in core plugin file.
Kindly provide us the filter so that If there is an update available from your end, It really won’t effect the extended functionality.
Your prompt response would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello, and congratulations for this nice plugin. It’s popssible integrate also with Buddypress user registration and login? In this case, It’s possible match some linkedin fields into custom user meta for Buddypress?
Thank you in advance

Hi,
First of all thank you very much for the jQuery fixation.
Ok, Now I want to extend the linkedin scope. I have seen the file “rdpLLLogin.php” in which you have define the scope. Right now “r_basicprofile r_emailaddress” but I want to add “r_fullprofile” in scope.
Based on ” r_fullprofile”, I want to extract more parameters from the response & I also looking hook for this too but unfortunately, no hook is there.
Do you mind to provide these hooks in your coming release so that, On upgradation, It won’t destroy my custom functionality which I want to achieve from your plugin.
Your prompt response would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Hi,
First of all, I must say that you have done a great job.
Secondly, I am experiencing an error. There is script “url.min.js” missing in the directory which you are enqueuing in “scriptsEnqueue” function in dpLL.php file. When I remove this, then It does not open the popup window & If I will allow it to enqueue then It open the login window when I click on the sign in button. Do you mind to let us provide that file.
Your prompt response would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
