‘Yes it works’ I read but how? There is no block.

The plugin works fine in the Woocommerce description but doesn’t work when trying to use on the short description.

It didn’t work until I clicked ‘save changes’ in the settings. I almost removed the plugin and tried something else. Please add this to the instructions.

I added the shortcode in the Woocommerce product description, but it only hides the text, no link or button with the “read more” link to open the rest of the text?

Any idea why this does not work?

I think there is some additional setup required with your plugin. I added the shortcodes [read more] [/read] to the content I wanted to hide on this page but I the buttons seem to be missing. https://www.traveltalk.travel/smallest-countries-in-asia/

I see that the RMWR settings allow customization of the Read more and Read less text, but then it seems you have to use that same text for every instance of RMWR use across a site. Is there any way to use different text in different locations across a website for the read more/read less links? In other words, to provide unique link text for each instance of RMWR across a site?

i want to use my table of content?together with a “read more expansion” solution that opens the full text onclick.

How can I archive the same expansion from read more, when a user clicks on a table of content link:

In other words, a ToC click shall:

• trigger the “read more expansion” and open the full article
• jump to the appropriate position of the article
  • currently the jump doesnt work properly when the article is not already expanded

Looking forward to your ideas with this plugin

When I click the read more button it works perfectly. The hidden text is visible. The visitor can now see and read the text, however, it would be nice if the read less button is placed below this text and the user does not have to scroll up with the mouse. Better user experience!?

Hi, the first paragraph of the hidden text has a very small font size. I dont know how to change that. The rest of the text is fine.

Great plugin, but I’d like to put a series of paragraphs (instead of just one) inside the readmore block. RMWR doesn’t do this; it seems to make a <div> at the beginning of the paragraph and end the text before the next <p> marker. Can you code this, and how much would it cost me?

Also, it’s ignoring every text color setting except the background setting; I think this is a conflict with my Genesis parent or child theme, or the custom settings I applied to those themes. I can live with this.

Also, since activating this plugin I’m getting this message frequently when I save a page with RMWR codes in it, in the WP Classic Editor:

If I hard refresh a couple times then hit Update it works OK. Again, I can live with this if it isn’t dangerous in any way. Just thought this might be useful for you to know.

Hello, any fix for enable a way to translate the string “Read more” and “Read less” for our multiple country site ? We can use polylang or loco translate, with Loco translate we didn’t find the po/mo file to set the translation in another language.

in the current version, the plugin doesn’t show the custom text set via shortcode atts – it’s still visible where it’s being read in the plugin code, but instead the plugin outputs just the standard text.

I have implemented read more to product description but when you click read more, it expands the read more text to the whole page which looks messy. I need this to be fixed please.

Read More Without Refresh has been a fantastic plugin for me in the Classic Editor. I am now trying to migrate to Gutenberg. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I have tried entering [read more] xxx [/read] into the code editor in a Paragraph Block, a Classic Block and a Shortcode Block, but so far without success. I launched a new site yesterday. De read more read less however doesn’t work on the production site. It does work very well on the development site. There seems to be a difference in the links:

The toggle made by your plugin is allready open en can’t be closed.

If I place a new shortcode, everything works fine on that page (see here: https://zoetwaren.nl/actualiteiten/corona-module-opgenomen-in-branche-rie/).

It seems to be the issue with the excisting ones. Something strange happened when cloning the site it seems. But I can’t figure out how to fix this.
Can you help me?

In have set the background of the button to a dark colour and the text to white. When I first load the page the text is displayed as black. It turns to white when clicked and stays white when clicked again, but the first time the page is loaded it is black.

I am not linking an example page because it is on a development system.

The Button Text “>> mehr lesen” (read more) doesn’t change to “<< weniger” (read less) after opening the hidden part, It stays the same.

How can that be changed?
