The progress bar does not occupy the entire top area of ??the page from left to right and does not follow the settings colors.

]]>Hello,
I set it so I like it (it should be below the navbar and shouldn’t overlap it).
But it disappears on a mobile, can you please help me with that?
Hello I love your plugin and share it will all my clients.
I was wondering if you could add the feature for transparent background or how to do the CSS? I noticed it’s built into the element itself.

Thank you!
]]>Is there any way to create a bar for 0% progress? The lowest percentage I’m able to display currently is 1%.
Thanks.
Hi there, how do I activate or de-activate the reading progress bar on a specific page/template or post? In the settings I can only activate it for all pages or all templates or all posts.
4 years ago you marked this resolved, but I can’t seem to find how to do it (total newbie to elementor, wordpress and the lingo overall…)
Thanks for the great plugin!
]]>When I try to select the color of the progress bar, the palette does not open.
The problem occurs in both Brave (Chromium) and Firefox.
Hi
I want the progress to only run until the end of the article, not to the bottom of the footer.
Is it possible?
Thank you
Please provide a minified version of the script under rp-public.min.js (and include it instead of unminified version)
]]>Hello to the whole team,
I have just installed today your extension following this excellent video: https://youtu.be/ZMrFvBs-cfc
My concern is that there are often a lot of comments in my articles, I would like the progress bar to only deal with the article, is that possible?
This is important because it distorts the progress bar.

]]>Hi! Thanks for this plugin. I was asking if it would be available for AMP too. Thanks!
]]>Hi,
I’ve got a JavaScript error with WordPress 5.5.3 and 5.6 :
Uncaught TypeError: e.indexOf is not a function
load jQuery
https://example.com/wp-content/plugins/reading-progress-bar/public/js/rp-public.js?ver=5.5.3:5
https://example.com/wp-content/plugins/reading-progress-bar/public/js/rp-public.js?ver=5.5.3:59
jquery-3.4.1.min.js:2:83689
Fixed by replacing
$(window).load(function() {
with
$(window).on('load', function(){
in /public/js/rp-public.js on line 5.
According to the plugin listing this plugin was recently updated to v1.2.2, but almost four years ago version 1.3 of the plugin was mentioned as ”coming” in an earlier topic in this forum, saying that v1.3 should contain a feature that calculates the progress bar based on the length of the actual content of the post, even when responsive pages shift content and sidebars around depending on screen sizes.
Other progress bar plugins have features where you can choose to limit the scope of the progress bar to the content area only (so that it’s not measuring headers and footers for example), and some have settings for whether to include comment areas or not when calculating the progress bar.
Are features like these still in the works, and is a new version coming?
]]>Your plugin doesn’t work well with WordPress 5.6, I suppose it is because of the JQuery changes. Hope you can update it.
]]>Hi, is it possible to make the foreground colour a gradient with CSS? I am not familiar with the progress element and see that the foreground colour is color, not background-color like I expected. Thanks so much. ??
]]>Hello, plugin author, thank you for releasing such easy-using plugin!
Here I have some recommendations for you, may let you plugin more user friendly.
EX: in reading-progress-bar/public/js/rp-public.js file, I can change
docHeight = $(document).height();
to
docHeight = $("div.entry-content.clr").height();
for changing the calculation basis of height of content, But it will disappear after upgrading.
If possible, Is it OK for you adding the height option basis except of the whole page height.
Thank you for your time!
]]>After seeing the feature request topic @
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/feature-requests-124/ I thought that this was solved, but is seem not, while it’s quit mandatory for such plugin to be serious. Can you please include this asap ?

Another issue here is related to the elementor blog template generator where I had to add the code as HTML block since it wasn’t loading. See screenshot @ https://prnt.sc/r29oj1
Maybe should you offer a shortcode or update the way you load your HTML.
Since Elementor is so popular It would be good to take it in account.
Hoping to read you soon.
]]>Hi! Thank you very much for your appreciated work on this plugin. It makes the website easily more versatile.
Do you have an idea how to bring the progress bar into the front? The cookie-message is in the front and thus, the reader only see the progress bar – if the cookie is accepted and the box disappears.
Thank you for an answer.

Thanks a lot for this wonderfull plugin. It works very well with Beaver Builder and Beaver Themer. Thank you!
I have a question. Is there a possibility to add an icon ad the end of the progressbar via CSS? Something like: https://imu.nl/lidmaatschap/?

]]>Hi,
This is the ideal plugin for what I’m looking for, I’m just wondering if it’s possible to trigger the progress bar to only appear after a specific amount of scrolling.
i.e scroll down the page and it fades in after around 200px?
The reason I ask is because on sites that have a sticky header, the progress bar looks misplaced until the page has scrolled slightly.
Thanks!

First of all, thanks a lot for the great plugin!
What I would like to know is how to turn the plugin on or off on specific pages. On most pages I like to use it, but on some I would rather leave it out. Could you help me? If there is no easy fix and it requires some code it is fine too.
I also look forward to an update where you can leave out your footer/comments in measuring the page length.
Best regards,
Florian
]]>Hi,
thank you for this little small plugin.
It works great, but we have found some missing features.
First of all it would be great, if the scroll progress would be calculated by the size of the post or page and not the whole site.
Even on responsive sites the scroll progress bar includes also the sidebar and the footer. I hope you know, what i mean.
A little point should be the possibility to hide the bar to admins or authors.
Thanks in advance!
Best
Georg
