Is is possible to hide the date info that appears under the excerpt?
]]>Hi, I want to love this plugin, but it’s currently giving me a hard time if I want to use the extra parameters. I’m using Divi and I want to show the last “project” which is a divi built-in custom post type. This plugin can pull in the “projects” but it doesn’t respond to the custom parameters I add.
I have tried this in both a text and a code module:
[recentposts-sc numberofposts=”4″ post_type=”project” get_cat_name=”true”]
It still won’t show me the category, it did not show me 4 projects, and it showed “Posted on…” so it seems like whatever parameters I’m passing are being ignored.
I only want to show title, category, and featured image.
And I only want to show ONE project, which would be the latest one.
Please help

I’ve tried to edit the CSS to remove the border & change the font. As well as removing the date/time based on css you provided another user. None of the changes I input into the CSS editor are coming into effect on my page.
I would like to:
remove the borders, center everything, and remove the date/time

Hi, thanks for this plugin, it’s been very useful. I have feature request, is it possible to exclude a category using the shortcode? I have some posts with multiple categories but I only want to show posts from Category A and not from Category B. Even if the post contains both Category A and B. I hope that makes sense…

Hi everyone. I’m trying to use this plugin inside a website realized with Massive Dynamics. The use of shortcode is demanded to the shortcode Mapper of WPBakery Page Builder.
So I parsed some fields, standard and none. The problem is that the plugin shows just the latest news, just one!

]]>In at least some browsers, the text underneath the shortcode wraps around the recent posts. I’ve tried inserted a <br> after the shortcode, but it doesn’t help.

Secondly ,if post title length(e.g.one line or two lines of title in tiles)is not same in tiles, tiles get disoriented.
This means , say for 6 tiles,disorientation- 3 appears in first row, 2 in second row & 1 in third row.
It should be 3 tiles first row, 3 tiles second row.

I’m trying to use your plugin to create a filtered posts section on my homepage. It’s a sort of weird project where I just need every blog post in the category “review” to appear. It worked great for the first 3, but when I hit 4 it drops off the oldest. I tried to add numberofposts=”52″ (one for each week of the year), but it then only showed 1 post (the newest)
Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

On one of my pages I have different <sections> through the page. I went to add another section between 2 sections and put my shortcode in there. Everything displays fine but the following sections underneath get broken. For example my video suddenly has an “unknown” source instead of the youtube source that is set in the CMS. My

My image that is being used is very low res compared to what the featured image actually is. I tried using image_size in the shortcode with no differences no matter what I put in there. It uses https://advancedkiosks.staging.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Church-check-in-3-150×150.png every time and then resizes it large making it low res. Is there a way to change this so it doesnt use the 150×150?

It shows thumbnail just in the posts created BEFORE installing plugin.

]]>Steve Stern on www.ads-software.com plugin forum, suggested that this plugin would let me highlight most recent blog post on my static front page. I see how Supercargo was using it, but I don’t want it in a sidebar.
How to I set up a space on the Home page that will feature the latest posting? Add all that code onto the page, I’m assuming? I see how you got posts before and after a certain date, but I’d like that date to be sort of rolling…grab the post for ‘today’s date’ or the one closest to it. How do I word that coding? (I’m a real techo-dummy, and code is definitely NOT my thing, so I need help explicitly spelled out.)
I’m using Happenstance theme, if that matters.

Here’s an observation.
It would be nice to be able to change the shape of the thumbnail images. Most of my featured images seem to be the right shape to shrink to your thumbnail size, but some aren’t. The image thumbnail size specified for the plugin appears to be 160×380. But how about having square images? Or images that are taller/less wide?
Something to think about for a future upgrade perhaps?

I was looking for a replacement for a Recent Post widget that is no longer maintained and found this one. Most impressed! It looks good with my theme and I will happily try it out for a while. There are two changes I would like to see.
1) I would like to use my “hand crafted excerpt” instead of pulling the first 30-odd words from the text.
2) I’d like to stop the text wrapping around the thumbnail – just have it show under the thumbnail. It does what I want most of the time probably because my featured images are the shape they are, but one or two short words (I, In) are turning up as orphans to the right of the featured image which I think is ugly.
