Hi, Is it possible to add custom post types to this plugin? I have a Movies and Series review website, and want to add the movies and series into the blog widget area. But I can’t see any settings to activate custom post types. Any advise is greatly appreciated

The thumbnail pics on the righthand sidebar no longer show up, despite having a featured image for each of those posts. Only two thumbnails show up, but the rest are blank (probably using the default thumbnail, which is a blank image).

But why is it giving blank thumbnails, not the actual featured image for each post?

And why are 2 of the posts still showing thumbnails? I don’t see anything special about those 2 posts.

We’d like to know if you can set the plugin to not display the thumbnail on a phone size screen, but still show it on tablet and laptop/desktop.

We have downloaded and installed your “Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails” widget. We love it! We have just one problem. When we first started using it, the thumbnails showed up next to the title in a nice square. It looked great on both the laptop and the phone. Now, for some strange, unknown reason, the images are stretched. On a phone it looks like a banner, and on the laptop and tablet they’re stretched across the block with just a few letters of the title next to it. Hi, I like your plugin, especially the feature that it is possible to show random posts.
But I can’t understand why there are no “featured images”.
I used the settings “Preview Image: 400×0”, “Middel: 800×0”, “Lage: 1024×0”.

As per title, in this way I can change the order of the content in my theme itself.
As example I need that the title, author and the date are in the same container, so I can divide the content in 2 columns.

Experimenting with wp block theme, I cannot figure out how to use the plugin with twenty-twentythree (or twentyfour). The widget does not show up in the block list (I thought I could insert it in a column), so I assumed it only works in a sidebar. So I generated a sidebar, put the widget inside, and then put the sidebar inside the column. Now I have the list of posts, but without thumbnails and without any formatting of the title. The plugin worked ok in previous installation (classic theme) with Site Origin builder. I am convinced I am doing something wrong, but I don’t know what. orry I cannot providwe a link, I am experimenting with a local server on my pc. Thanks for your understanding. I’m encountering difficulties customizing widgets on my WordPress site using your plugin. When I try to adjust the settings or styling of a widget, the changes aren’t being reflected on the frontend. What could be causing this issue, and how can I resolve it?

So I have the plugin “Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails” in 2 of my sites.

In one site, the “suggested” articles are in the right and in between is an author or about us box. To edit this settungs you select “widget” under Appearance on the left side of the wordpress panel. This is ONLY showing in ONE site – not the other.

Both has the same wordpress version.

What is up?

The plugin only allows to choose a fixed image size, so it doesn’t create a srcset for responsive images. Is there any way to use a filter to add such functionallity?

In Thumbnail Settings, check Show thumbnail, set the Size of thumbnail to Specified width and height, and specify the Width of thumbnail and Height of thumbnail sizes below, but the thumbnail size does not adjust.

The same is true when you try to empty the cache or disable the cache plug-in.

Hey I tried all the custom css options in the support forum for this plugin but none of them worked. Can someone please tell me what specific css to use to format the title text. It doesn’t look good. Title text starts too close to the image and the line spacing is also off.

Are the links within the content removed when displayed in the sidebar widget?

The Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails Widget suddenly won’t display the chosen category when logged out. When logged in, it does show the proper category. I have cleared all caches, website and browser, and even recreated the widget, deleting the old one. The behavior persists.

Does this have something to do with the plugin not working correctly with latest WP core update? This plugin hasn’t been updated in six months, and we just updated to the latest WP version.

It seems all the post titles in the widget are unlinked when you’re on any post in that category. Shouldn’t that be the case for only the actual post you’re on?

In other words, if I have a Recent Posts With Thumbnails widget on one page set for a category of “news”, when I click on any of the posts listed and go to that post, we have the same widget showing there, but all the post titles are now unlinked, instead of just the one relating to the post we’re on.

How can we change that? Thanks!

I tried adjusting the font size via CSS to no avail. What’s the proper code/what should I be targeting? The default font size is huge and doesn’t look good with the rest of my content.

I have used the CMS just for the Recent Posts area of a site by using some php code on the page above (index.php) to pull in the posts from the database for the Recent Posts section, which is more than half way down the page. Is there a way of using php code to add the thumbnails to the posts on this page from your plugin? Your free plugin works on the page which shows the entire post and on the ‘My Blog’ page (accessed from the top menu).

Hello, the post list does not have a visual customization. What I mean is that the post doesn’t have a dot before the link – which I always have before the <li> list – no such LI element is displayed here.

And I would like to add the <hr> line after the post link, which cuts the link from the link as a separating line. How can it be done.

Maybe it would be good to add an edit box for such styles. Or as selectable options to set it up easily.

The alternative text of the pictures used for thumbnails contains a number. Sample : Courge butternut farcie et roties au fromage et aux herbes 6

I dont want this number, how to remove it ? Removing the tooltip could be a solution.
