Lots of options. Well thought of.
The only problem is the LI elements where too far apart vertically. I guess my theme is at stake.
So I added a bit of CSS to correct that :

#rpwwt-recent-posts-widget-with-thumbnails-2 > ul > li {
    margin: 0;
}

Looks like an interesting plugin. NO matter what I set the thumbnail size to, the thumbnails remained 75×75…..

The installation documentation says “Go to ‘Appearance’ => ‘Widgets’ and select ‘Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails’” but it does not show. So I could not use.

However, there is not enough setting for rounding the corners of the thumbnails. I had to add it with css.

I needed to implement my Figma design that used a recent posts widget with thumbnails, titles, and dates. But the WordPress default recent posts widget shows only the titles. Also, I checked the Astra theme options for these extended features but couldn’t find them. Then I found this plugin which gave me all the features that I needed. Thank you, author

The general problem with Polylang for all widgets is that it doesn’t work with the new ‘widgets block editor’ in WP. This can be solved by installing the ‘Classic Widgets’ plugin, after this you can perfectly use this plugin too.

A very useful plugin! Been using it for a long time too! However, I noticed that it only works on 1 translation, the main page. On the other translation, this plugin doesn’t seem to work. I use Polylang from WP SYNTEX

Very easy to use plugin, does just what I need, and it’s compatible with SiteOrigin page builder. I like that the widget settings are specific to each place you use it, they are not global “one size fits all”. Thanks!

I have been looking for this type of widget for years, so glad someone developed it. Yay. Finally a way to only post content from certain categories in the sidebar and it comes with thumbnails too and tons of ways to customize without having to hack the plugin! Awesome widget plugin that works like a charm. Thank you.

Disappointed in myself I didn’t find this sooner! This plugin has everything you could ever want from a widget. I’ve previously used several widgets to do very poorly what this one widget does amazingly well all by itself. This widget is in a league of its own. Developer responds to any questions immediately.

This is an absolutely beautiful plugin that yoou can customize a lot. While there are a few extra things I would love to see in this plugin, it can already do so much. If you want to have, for example, a sidebar that shows posts that have a lot of comments in a short amount of time, you can do that with this plugin!

I cannot imagine using any different plugin for this goal and I will likely use this on any website that is post heavy.

Just started developing my first website and the default recent post widget was too limited in functionality. This plug-in offered the flexibility I needed and was very easy to use.
On top of that, when I asked on this forum for how to style some elements not exposed via the UI the developer offered a solution within a day.
