Worked fine for a couple of years, suddenly this week causes a huge layout problem with ANY theme and WP 5.2.4.

Once you figured out how to get the API key and other secret codes, the widget (find it in the appearance > widgets ) is pretty straight forward.
I would love to be able to modify the look of the tweets but those features are not there yet.

The plugin works fine, there are no options like adding follow button or color customizations, but it does show the timeline.

This plugin has extreme update messages in the admin panel, you can’t even dismiss it without going through the options page. I hate when plugins think they’re more important than the default functionality.

If you want to add rel=”nofollow” to outgoing tags like me here is the solution:
open widget.php inside plugin files. find line 180. there you will change codes as i show below. too simple. just delete lines 179-193 after that put these new codes. I’ve added rel=nofollow tag inside codes. You may compare new and old codes if you like.

This app doesn’t work even though all settings and configurations followed.
I’ve added this widget to my website, filled in all the necessary information, and yet I’m still getting the ‘Please fill all widget settings!’ message when I view it live on my site.
Noticed other people having the same problem yet no response from developer!

Hi,
I’ve been using this plugin for the first time and it’s been running for 3 weeks now without issues. Now all of a sudden the plugin couldn’t connect to twitter and therefore stopped the execution of all other code! Which broke a great deal of my template/interaction.
I therefore recommend you to removeor die('whatever string') from your code on line 51, and just check if the connection was made afterwards and if not return a simple error-string or something!

This was one of the first plugins that allowed use of API 1.1 to my knowledge but no extra features since creation means it may get left behind.

Excellent plugin.
Twitter is currently switching to a new version of their API (and dropping some features from their old API). This plugin solved the problem for me. And it did it nicely.
