Was thrilled when this plugin became available – works and looks great. Using Cardview Compact Theme and there’s just one detail I can’t resolve. As you can see on Homepage, the category appears on the image, which I don’t want. Thing is, I don’t see anything in the widget settings indicating I selected it. Only thing I can come up with is I selected Use custom HTML Markup – settings in the image.
Will appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you…

Today I tried it, but I couldn’t even save Recently settings on the widgets page. I failed to set the number of list items to 3.
I use multi-site. I tried to install it manually and turn off minify feature of the cache manager.
Are there any checkpoints or solutions to this problem?

I really like both of your plugins (Recently and Popular posts), they work perfectly on my site. Now here is my issue: I use custom post types and custom categories/taxonmies extensively on my site. If I choose a certain custom taxonomy to be displayed in the Recently widget all custom posts from all custom categories are being displayed. Can you make it so or show me how to be able to exclude certain custom categories from being shown like you did with AuthorID or PostID?

Hello dear Hector! Your plug-ins have a great display feature for the first image of the recording, but the fact is that some recordings with miniatutours (thumbnal),And some without a miniatur thumbnail. Now, if you include the first 6 output in the settings of the plug-in, The rest of the recordings are displayed without a picture.

We noticed that we were unable to save changes to the widget settings recently and saw that trying to save the widget settings was causing the below error to be thrown when the plugin tries to call:
$default_thumbnail_sizes = $recently_image->get_image_sizes();
In the /recently/src/Widget/Widget.php file on line 359.
I’ve also noticed that when this widget is in a sidebar that any widgets placed below it are not output but I’ll need to do some more testing in a staging environment to rule out a conflict being caused by other plugins or the theme for that specific issue.

First off – I love recently… it works and it looks good.
I’m trying to use just one widget to do 3 things (recently does 2 of the 3 at this moment in time…).
At the moment I use recently to show the latest news on my site, as well as recently added. But I’d love to be able to also use it to show the pages that have recently been updated (at the moment I’m using display-posts) – but like I mentioned, I really want to get down to one plugin to do all 3 tasks.
Is this something I can do with recently?

]]>I recently downloaded the Recently plugin and got posts to show up pretty much how I like them on my Home page ( https://wehearthandmadeboots.com/ ) Even though I’m not thrilled with the spacing between the posts in the side bar (Pretty sure that is a CSS issue).
So I also have the plugin Custom Sidebars so I can have “custom sidebars” on different posts. That was I can use the Recently plugin and have related posts show up on that sidebar.
All I did was create a custom sidebar and cloned the recently widget I had on the home page and dragged it over. The problem is that it looks completely different. The size of the thumbnails are smaller (even though the dimensions are the same) and the spacing seems to be messed up.
Any ideas?

I’ve got both the popular posts and Recently plugins installed since I wanted them to look the same, and I’ve also used the same settings. But while the popular posts plugin has padding between the list items, the Recently one doesn’t. This leaves the thumbnails sitting one on top of the other (unless the text is just the right size to force a slight gap). Is it supposed to look like that?

After the recent update my thumbnails no longer seem to be generated. Popular posts is still working well. I thought it may be a permission issue but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Can you please share how I can go about debugging this?

I am using Recently 1.0.2 very successfully on the front page of this site: https://kakarikigames.co.nz/ (I reverted to 1.0.2 after I had problems with 2.0.0).
When I installed Recently 2.0.0, the first thing I noticed was that the images are no longer left aligned the text now starts below the images. See screen shots.

I’ve set up a site to have the appearance of 3 blogs by using Categories. Articles, Videos and Audios are accessed via menu.
Recently was the perfect solution to add a Recent list widget for each “blog” as a category list.
I was in to update today and discovered the widget continues to display on the root category page but not after you open one of the posts linked on the widget.
I have Taxonomy set to Category with the ID
Show Widget on Selected
and Target by URL set to: (for example)
category/audios/
category/audios/*
This combo worked before to show on the root category page and the pages beneath it but is not working now. Suggestions?

thanks a lot for such wonderful plugin. There is only one issue that need to be fixed before rating it with 5 stars.
Filtering posts by taxonomy doesn’t work in sidebar widgets without (ctrl+f5), and it doesn’t work even with such solution when we try to add the widget with page builder (a very important issue).
I suggest that you make the options auto opened without the need of refreshing the page of work. such update will make your plugin perfect. Also, if you can make this feature of filtering multi choice where users can filter posts by multi taxonomies it will be great.
