I want to know that when you are going to launch the new version of plugin that are compatible with WordPress3.5 version.
Looking forward of your positive response.
Regards,
Rajeev
I added a featured image for the recipe, i have the recipe in a normal category and I have that category as a menu item so when you click that menu it lists all the recipes.
But for some strange reason it is showing the recipe and an image separately. Not sure why though.
Thanks
Matt
Hi I am new to WP and do not much about but I am interested in to make japans Translation for your plugin.
Are you still updating this plugin?
How can I help?
Avoid this plugin. This plugin seems like a great plugin BUT;
1) Documentation is none existent or confused
2) The plugin isn’t supported now and some of the support pages are actually dead pages. This should be clearly stated on the WordPress site plugin info so people don’t waste hours of time like I have.
Not sure if this will even get a response, seeing that Recipe Press is dead, but it’s my last attempt to figure out my dilemma and utilize this program.
I’ve setup a menu with the following categories (taxonomies, fancy word for categories I’m assuming ?? )
Recipes
|_ Hot Drinks
|_ Cold Drinks
When the user clicks Recipes it brings them to a page that lists all the available “taxonomies” , calling them categories wasn’t simple enough I suppose. lol. Once the user clicks on either Hot Drinks, or Cold Drinks, it lists the recipes in that taxonomy.
Here’s where I have my problem. On the page that lists the recipes. I get the title of each recipe listed twice. Once is within <h2 class="entry-title>

which is coming from the wordpress template itself. You can’t remove it because it affects the rest of the site. What’s bothering me is that I can’t modify this or remove it.
There isn’t enough documentation about modifying recipe press, so that I can change this. Anyone else notice this and if you’ve come across a solution to it? It doesn’t look right with the title of the recipe listed twice.
Hi, I am considering the use of recipe press for my language. There is no difference in singular or plural counting in my language, and when I add some thing for ingridients which has more than two (like 2 onion, or 100 Gram etc), recipe press adds a S at the end and changes them to (2 onions, or 100 Grams). I know in english it is the way to write, but it realy is annoying to see them in my language. In a language, like arabic, there is no way to understand the added s at the end of any word!
– How can I remove it from the codes?
Or
– how to prevent it from being exacuted at first polace.
Regards

Documentation is very poor and I spent many hours with set up only to come to the conclusion that this plug in does not integrate with Genesis StudioPress premium themes.
If you are not using Twenty Ten theme, don’t waste your time or energy.
This plugin is built in such theme-specific ways that it will not work with almost any other theme but its own customized version of Twenty Ten. Don’t even think about customizing that, as it will break the functionality of this plugin. In any other theme recipes do not show up as regular posts and it is impossible to make simple lists of recipes you’ve created for your viewers to click. You must use their pre-formatted, styled boxes which are a mess. Only a max of 20 of these categories will ever show up. Worse, it’s so labor intensive that it will take you weeks to really get started before you discover it’s awful.
I upgraded and my pages went blank. I had to use my ftp to disable the plugin.
So, it’s currently deactivated until a fix.
Breaks install.
Doesn’t work.
Poorly written.
Upgraded this morning and discovered several issues:
-Shortcode changes resulted in all of my existing RP pages being rendered useless. I had to dig through the support forums to discover the new shortcodes, it was not readily available info.
-I had one parent page for my RP pages, and three children. That taxonomy was destroyed. The only available “parent” pages to assign were the actual recipe names. This held true for ALL of my pages, even those unrelated to RP on my site. Furthermore, even from the parent pages, when I clicked on the actual recipe, they 404’d out! I had to disable RP completely in order to restore normalcy.
-I also found that all of the settings (which were not necessarily easy to decipher when I initially installed this plugin anyway) had been cleared. Digging on the RP support forum, I discovered that this is not unusual post-upgrade.
-The support forums also suggested that it might be necessary to copy the PHP script for submitting recipes into my theme folder to get things to work properly.
Seems to me that quite a bit of this could have been handled better. I do not consider this plugin upgrade ready for prime time. If a good fix is released, I may consider re-enabling this plugin, but for now, it will remain disabled so as to keep my site functional. Very disappointed in this release.
I quickly noticed that version 2.0 was missing a file. Please use version 2.0.1. Thank you.
I am not able to get RSS feed in Recipe Press plugin.
How to create custom post type archive template and single page template?
help me?
Every time I have Recipe Press create the page it shows up, but then when I click the link it can’t be found. Also, when I try to create a new page (even a new page not related to Recipe Press) it can’t be found. When I disable this plugin everything works again.
I just upgraded to version 1.3.1 and the backend is broken where the header and footer doesn’t load, save button is missing and the tabs don’t work.
The plugin generated 19 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
Is the message after activating the plugin. And This “???” (without quotemarks) is appearing on a lot of places.
