Hello. We created a 301 redirect to a page on our WP site using this plugin. We decided later that we want that redirect to go to a new page. However, after changing the URL, it keeps going to the old page. I thought it might be cached in my browser but I have tried clearing the cache and also using an incognito window and it still goes to the old page. I also cleared the WP cache and that did not help. Any advice?
]]>Dear Redirect List support,
Since a week or so we get the following error message as soon as we click on the “Save changes” button:
Request Entity Too Large
The requested resource does not allow request data with POST requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit.
Apache Server at https://www.campus-sursee.ch Port 443
I checked: Currently we have no less than 8780 redirects in our list.
Is there a quantity limit that we exceeded recently? However, deleting several existing redirects doesn’t save the problem. The error message pops up every time we hit the save button.
Kind regards

Is there a wildcard setting to be used for an entire string?
For example:
Any URL matching /mysite/posts/page/2/, or /mysite/posts/page/3/, etc. can be redirected by a single /mysite/posts/page/*
This would be a big help.
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
I’m trying to import the data from an exported Redirect List CSV but maybe I’m not understanding how. I’m pasting in the data, click “import” and the button border changes to blue and nothing else happens and no indication it’s being imported. If I click “save” there are no changes. Can you kindly advise? Thank you.

Would like url – https://mysite/logged-in/?RedirectUrl=http%3a%2f%2myothersite.com%2faccount%2flogin.aspx
To redirect to the RedirectUrl parameter.
I’ve tried putting these values in the boxes, but seems incorrect.

]]>Hello,
I just redirect a whole site to another one but exclude several urls, but I do not know how to make this kind of setting, would you please let me know whether it is possible? if yes, anyway to make this kind of setting please??
Thanks and have a nice day.
]]>The 1.8 changelog indicates: Corrects URL matching so exact match required.
If you have a site with hundreds of redirects, what consequences would updating to 1.8 have? Are there URLS that would have redirected correctly which would stop working because exact match was not previously required?
Can you give an example of what specifically now needs to be exact that didn’t used to need to be exact?
]]>Hi, I wanted to redirect /?lang=es to the /es directory so i wrote as old URL /?. I created a mess and now the home / is being redirected to the /es. I don′t exactly know how this plugin works, is it writing on the .htaccess file? should I go there to fix it?
Thank you
Hi,
Is there an issue with multisite installs? Our redirects are ending in 404s when redirecting a URL to one of the subsites on our install.
We have 9 sites in total and only the redirects are working on the main site.
Thanks
]]>HI guys

I understand that after I am writing the link “abnormal” in url-to-match and link proper in destination-url, I have to save, and then, at the end, click on “Clear Cache”. What really makes the “Clear Cache”?
]]>Dear creator of the Redirect List plugin,
Thanks a lot for this lightweight piece!
Using it for the web-site with over 800 redirect URLs – all is perfect.
One issue I need your help with though.
These URLs:
/episode3
/episode30
Both lead to the same end redirect URL for /episode3, which is https://www.realmenrealstyle.com/the-suit-foundations-of-a-strong-wardrobe/
In other words, zero ‘0’ in the end of URL /episode30 is being ignored.
I do not use closing trailing slashes for none of my URLs finding them work improperly on my site.
So only like this:
https://www.realmenrealstyle.com/episode3
https://www.realmenrealstyle.com/episode30
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
/updatecard/?id
maps to:
https://securesite.com/~domain/script.php
if then go to
https://mywordpresssite.com/updatecard/?id=23456
shouldn’t it redirect to
https://securesite.com/~domain/script.php?id=23456
?
it doesn’t,
instead it just goes to:
https://securesite.com/~domain/script.php?id
I thought your plugin was supposed to pass the query params along with their values… that’s what I’m looking to do… maybe it doesn’t work that way though… please advise.
]]>All of my redirects i am needing to do are as follows
Old URL -> New URL
model.php?id=1 -> /MyWordpressModel1
model.php?id=5 -> /SomeOtherModel
index.php?pact=about -> /about-us
and so on.
So as you can see it’s not by the base page name. It’s based on the param’s as well.
How do i do this with your plugin?
]]>Hi,
I just found out that redirects with get parameters aren’t working.
This is my redirect
from: https://www.scribbr.de/lektorat-korrekturlesen/englische-bachelorarbeit-masterarbeit/
->
to: https://www.scribbr.de/lektorat-korrekturlesen/englische-abschlussarbeit/
When I (actually Adwords) add a get parameter it isn’t working anymore. Check this link: https://www.scribbr.de/lektorat-korrekturlesen/englische-bachelorarbeit-masterarbeit/?test=12345 -> 404
Thanks for looking into this!
Cheers,

]]>I’ve used this on many other sites and thank you for it, it’s great!
With this one, the links are not redirecting. On initial setup I attempted to add more than one redirect to the list before saving, then on save, got an error message that I didn’t record I’m afraid. That may be the source of the problem?!
The site is – https://www.likefollowshare.co.uk/runner
Redirecting – /channel/UCKRWR47y2TBCatiH4IhZ1Ow
To – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKRWR47y2TBCatiH4IhZ1Ow
I’ve removed the redirects, re-added them, deactived plugin, removed & reinstalled it, changed the theme to one used on other sites where the plugin worked, but still no joy.
Can you help?
Thanks
Is there a way to create a wildcard redirect? For example:
/BigImages/*
redirecting every URL in that directory to:
https://otherdomain.com/BigImages/*
Can I also use this plugin to create 307 redirects, or only 301 and 302?

]]>I am transitioning from an old HTML site to a WP site. Am I able to use this plugin for that? I’ve tried with a couple different redirection plugins and it doesn’t work.
For example, I want https://wicca.cnbeyer.com/ravenwolf.shtml to now take people to https://wicca.cnbeyer.com/continuing-anger-over-silver-ravenwolf/
The first URL ranks very well on Google, so I don’t want that URL to go away. But the updated information (not to mention the redesign) is at the second URL.
]]>I can only save 332 redirects to the list.
Is there a maximum number of redirects it can handle?

Hello, I see there is an import feature for a csv file but I can’t find any documentation on how the column headers need to be named – for instance A might be OLD URL and B would be NEW URL. I’m looking to do a bulk 301 update but I’m not sure how. Thanks for your help … the plugin looks great and once I get the mass import figured out and tested – this gets a 5 star rating for sure.
]]>Is there a good way to sort the URLs, or export them to a CSV or something?
I have several sites that have a lot of 404 redirects to manage, and the list is getting pretty massive. I want to make sure I don’t accidentally duplicate any or be able to keep them in some sort of order so I can find something fast.
This is an awesome plugin for a hundred or so redirects, but it gets kinda scary when I know I’m going to need to manage a few thousand redirects.
]]>Hi,
I am trying to make redirects from old site ( non WP ) to our new WP based site. Redirects work only partially. When I redirect this address( old main category ):
/tuotteet.php?tuoteryhma=2
to
/tuote-osasto/vahvistimet/
it works fine. But lower categories and single pages do not redirect to addresses given but to main category. For axample this address:
/tuotteet.php?tuoteryhma=2&valmistaja=4&tuote=2400
should go to:
/shop/monovahvistimet/ground-zero-gzta1-1200dx/
but instead it goes to:
/tuote-osasto/vahvistimet/
Like all other lower categories and pages that have /tuotteet.php?tuoteryhma=2 in the beginning of old address.
What am I doing wrong? There is some text in the bottom of Redirect List page about GET-stuff but I do not know what it means or how can I change settings if they are needed to?
]]>I ran into a problem when I was using your plugin with PHP 5.2.*.
You use the function strstr() in line 107 with 3 parameters, which is not supported before PHP Version 5.3.0.
In line 107 you should use instead:
$url = $uri;
if($qry) {
if (version_compare(PHP_VERSION, ‘5.3.0’) >= 0)
$url=strstr($uri,’?’,true);
else
$url=substr($uri,0,$qry);
}
(Or just always substr())
