I read a lot of articles, posts, lifehacks and tips how to cut off a taxonomy base (i.e. /category/ or /product/ or /item/ …) from URL address, but all of them also need to change HTML code; others just don’t work!
Finally I see a logical, simple-to-use WordPress addon to delete any useless slug(i.e. taxonomy) from URL address. It requires only 2 steps: install plugin and name an unwanted categories! Easy!

Before finding this plugin, I spent about an hour looking for code to do this behavior, modified functions.php, etc. and couldn’t make it work
Then installed the plugin and it just worked perfectly.
Thanks.
