The plugin is still totally safe to use, however I am cutting down on the number of plugins I wish to manage.
The GitHub repository is still around, so you can download or fork, you have my approval to do either. ??

That function used to allow me to click the IP address and it would check the ip at popular sites like proxycheck. Since this update it no longer works. Can you help?

]]>hello, your plugin is exactly what i was looking for thanks!
just one question please –
when I see the ip
what/how should be the step to prevent this IP from creating anthor new account?
should i need another plugin for that?
if i do, can u please recommend me?
(i have a very high traffic site. so something that would not cause slowing down my site)
your answer will be great appreciated!
Is it possible to store the IP at login? I’ve tried adding the following to the init function, but won’t do anything:
add_action('wp_login', array( $this, 'log_ip' ) );
Additionally, another field storing the last login IP would be useful, maybe you consider implementing it in a future release.
Regards.

]]>Hello Mika,
This is a very useful Plugin.
I have a suggestion to improve the usability.
If the IP is showing up in the single-user (profile) page and not “All Users” overview page it is a great improvement and then I am going to use it too.
Best Regards,
Sam
Hi Guys, awesome plugin. Just one question.
I am trying to alow users to log in only with the IP they have when they registered.
Is that possible with this plugin?
The reason why is because my client wants to avoid users sharing their passwords to access the site to other persons (it will be a site with live paid conferences)
Thanks in advance!
Best.
Lucho.-
Hi Mika and thanks in advance for your response.
It’s possible with your plugin to check for accounts with same IPs?
Example
A login with 25.25.25.25
B login with 25.25.25.25
I receive a warning or on Users List the IPs become evident?
Thanks again and thanks for your work on that plugin.
Best regards,
U.
]]>Hello!
I downloaded your plugin – thank you – and it does record an IP but not the correct one. I am not a developer btw.
My shared IP address is 24.80.204.127
But it recorded this IP: 162.241.225.27
Is there something I am missing?
Thank you so much for your help and support.

Title basically, i is there any way that i can input an ip and get user registered on my website by doing this search ? Seems some ips are using way above average resources with us so i need to know who exactly is.
]]>Great plugin, is there anyway to take it a step further and show the actual IP address location with the IP ? Thanks.
]]>Thank you much for this plugin…
May I ask what this might suggest to you…?
The IP via this plugin is described in IP Lookup as a godaddy IP in Arizona… I have Wordfence installed, and it gave me notice of a new registration and then rather immediately the notice of the new user login, with the login IP and location, which is in Estonia in Europe… I confirmed that with another IP lookup…
I think I know what it might suggest but wanted some more expert opinion, rather than jumping to conclusions…
Kind regards,
John.
The admin panel on my website shows users in two different menu items. One is the standard “users” which includes all website users. In that window, I can see the IP Address as a Screen Option. My website theme also includes a menu item for a subset of the users — called Agents (essentially subscribers). In that window, I do not have the option to select IP Addresses in the Screen Options. Is there a workaround for that?
Thanks.
]]>Any method/hack to add support for pie register plugin to log IPs? Currently it logs empty
]]>Hello. Is there any way to retrospectively assign a known IP address to existing user?
Here’s the deal: I created WordPress sites and at time of creation, I’ve automatically created an admin account for myself. However at the time of creation, there was no plugin that could record my IP address, so my account stayed without IP record. I’d like to assing my IP address to my account retrospectively, if this is possible. Could be done simply by checking if the user does have IP record. If not, assign him IP address used to successfully log in to that account.
However it’s not so important, but could be a suggestion to further development. I’m the only one registered user on my sites at the time, have this plugin installed, so next users will have IP address record.

$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] = $http_x_headers[0];

]]>Hello. I deactivated your plugin because it turned out to be useless for me. But when I try to remove it, the plugin requires access to FTP, it asks for my login and password. What does it mean?
upd So. I apologize, it seems, it’s not in your plugin. I can not delete any plugins. My hoster has just changed the server software, and apparently I have to solve this issue not here, but there.
]]>I know you said two years ago that you could not add a sort by IP function into this plugin but could you look at this request again and see if things have changed with the new versions on WP.
I have had a few visitors register multiple usernames within minutes of each-other under one IP address and never log in so it would be nice if I could sort by IP to check to see if there are any other mass IP address site registrations
Thanks for all your hard work and support to this plugin.
]]>Hi,
I installed your Register IPs plugin on a single WordPress (4.7.3) site.
I have had two spammers register on my site and it did not capture the IPs.
If a regular user creates an account on the normal Create Account page then the IP is collected ok.
Can bots register without giving up their IP information?
Why were the spammers IPs not captured?
Hi
Simple plugin and I like the idea unfortunately it’s picking up my website clodflare IP every single time. Any fix in near future or better to change to other plugins?
