I’m trying to use this plugin in conjunction with BuddyPress, which has a neat mention system. Basically I want the plugin to simply insert “@username” instead of the formatted link with the author name. The comment-template.php only gave me ways to access the author’s name, which is not the same as username/login.
If someone could please show me how to change
esc_html(get_comment_author());
to be a string strictly containing only the username I’d be very grateful.

@<a href="#comment-*" rel="nofollow">***</a>:
This isn’t a classic link – is only an anchor.
I think isn’t necessary to put in queue moderation list :/
After I updated to the latest version of WP, the “Reply” link began just showing up as additional text at the end of the comment.

When it places itself in the text area, the preceding ‘close paragraph’ tag disappears, throwing formatting into disaray. I’ve tested this on my own custom themes, and on a clean install of WP3 with the same result.
