Brilliant plugin that solves all sorts of issues with user names

I wanted to use the plugin to block temporary email domains.
But now I found out that activation links for new customers would not work anymore for anyone. Once I deactivated the plugin it was fine again.
No Support contact, contributor has only an arab homepage so I cannot contact him.

I am wary of hackers, so I have been trying to keep out spam accounts. I even have a captcha to sign up to comment, but the bots still get through, like 200 a day. I have been daily bulk deleting all those, “telegram,” “blogspot,” and “.ru” accounts. This plug-in relived me of the burden of having to do that so much.
I think this might be one of my ‘essential’ plug-ins for any website build for new website clients from now on.

I was looking for a “Not allow these names” and this plugin did that for me. Now I can block mail.ru
, blogspot
, www
., etc when trying to register.
The admin area could use some love… I think if the addon better replicated the default wordpress admin style things would be better.
I liked and appreciated how the “leave review” banner was at the bottom of the page and not in my face at the top. That’s why I left this review…
Great job! Thanks!

wordpress的注册地方有两个,一个是官方提供的默认注册位置,你的插件只能对默认注册用户过滤,但是现在大多数都用的Elementor 提交的注册表单,我希望你能添加对Elementor提交病保存的 用户过滤的支持,
There are two registration places for wordpress. One is the official default registration location. Your plug-in can only filter the default registered users. But now most of the registration forms submitted by Elementor are used. I hope you can add support for filtering the users submitted by Elementor,

block email domains doesn’t work at all and there is no support to reply. Simply useless plugin.

I needed something to block certain usernames. I found what I was looking for with this plugin!

This is excellent plugin. WordPress doesn’t accept special characters in usernames. With this plugin I resolved the issue. The support is also really fast.
Highly recommended.

It does what it says well, but there are areas where it is difficult to block all mail.
Some spammers using their own (dubious) domain keep creating new subdomains to bypass this system. There should be a means of blocking ALL subdomains of a particular domain, as well as just the main domain. Otherwise, you are constantly adding the subdomains, by which time they have probably moved onto using another.
Some spammers use throwaway gmail or similar addresses with lots of full stops, eg: [email protected]
and it would be useful to be able to block all addresses with, say, more than two full stops in them.
Another useful feature would be to block specific country letters, i.e. all domains of a particular country. Certain countries would never visit my site other than to spam.
With the above features, I’d give it five stars!

Lots of essential features with no annoying paywalls

I like the plugin. Only part I don’t like is that “Restriction by part” is case sensitive. That means that if I restrict “Admin”, someone cannot register as “testAdmintest”, but “testadmintest” or “testADMINtest” would be allowed. A workaround would be to disable “Uppercase” characters, but that would block social media-based logins whose usernames may contain an uppercase character.
These are the translations I changed to:
– Please enter a username.
– This username is already registered. Please choose another one.
– Username cannot contain spaces.
– Username cannot contain multi-whitespace or whitespace at the beginning or end.
– Username cannot consist of just numbers. Please add a text character.
– Username is invalid because it uses characters or symbols that are not allowed.
– This email is not allowed. Please choose another.
– This username is not allowed. Please choose another.
– Username must be at least min characters long
– Username may not be longer than max characters.
– Username cannot contain part.
– The digits must be less than the characters in username.
– Username cannot contain an uppercase (A-Z) character.
– An email address cannot be used as the username. This is to protect your privacy.
– Please input your email address. Feel free to check our Privacy Policy on how your email is used.
– The email address does not appear to be valid.
– This email address is already registered. Please provide another one.
– You could not be registered… Please contact the ‘mailto:em’ administrator.

Since setting up this plugin 30 days ago, 100% of my 16 new user registrations were all done correctly! Previous success rate was only about 45%. This has saved me a lot of time and aggravation!!! It also reinforces with new users, what the username format is. Also as time goes on, less and less users will get blocked out due to multiple attempts to login incorrectly. I use this with BuddyPress xProfile. Thank you Benaceur!
UPDATE:
A year later, this plug-in still does a really awesome job. It continues to save me a lot of time and aggravation!

Is it Compatible with Multisite..??

First, I had issues with plugin, but in about 48 hours he had it resolved!
It’s an excellent plugin – VERY EASY to use.
You have multiple options from “no names allowed” to “none of these names allowed in the username per se” – you can even deny specific emails you don’t want to register.
There are a lot fine gain controls too!
No uppercase in username? Just flip a switch.
Don’t allow users to just use numbers when creating username? Just flip a switch.
Get the idea? It really is EASY.
Thank you for this FREE amazing plugin.
PS he was very patient with me, which I sincerely appreciate.

In “Do not allow any name contains this part” field ONLY THE LAST ENTRY (THE LAST LINE) GETS AN ERROR. All the lines above the last one have a free pass. Please fix ASAP!

Works nice.
I use it with Profile Builder registration plugin.
Restrictions of it work, but error messages do not display.
Hope it could be done in the future.
