Hi. Great plugin, but I’m really confused as to why this, (and many other review plugins, not singling you guys out) don’t create this as default behavior??? Why would you want to allow multiple reviews/ratings on the same post? Anyway, since this isn’t included as default behavior, I was wondering how I might implement this in the code via hook or editing the plugin directly if necessary.

I could simply check if the author had already left a review and then hide the form shortcode from them in my theme template but then the user wouldn’t be able to edit their review (which is needed). What would be much better is if the code checked if the user had left a review for a particular post, if so delete the old review first and then update the database with the new review, effectively preventing multiple reviews and allowing the editing of their previous review. We have just installed this on a client’s website but have a number of questions:

1. It appears that the plug-in does not allow manual entry of reviews by admin. They want to transcribe reviews from AirBnB, VRBO, and other portals. Is there a workaround this?
2. We have tried doing this as above, by entering standard comments and then switching on the plugin, but after this is done there is no way of adding “Rating”. Is there a workaround to add rating to comments?
3. We are using PolyLang pro, and the reviews only appear in one language. Comments/Reviews have to be re-entered for each language (website uses 3 languages), which is a lot of work. Visitors do not usually mind the reviews not being in their native language, as they realise people enter reviews in their native language.

Appreciate your suggestions for the above points.

Hello, according to the plugin documentation, reviews plus is compatible to show reviews in google search results but my website posts reviews are not appearing in search results ..

I try to translate the front end strings with Loco Translate plugin, I see the strings, I translate the strings but on the front end there isn′t any update, everything is in English. If I change the string directly in the PHP code, it works, but after this recent update I lost every translations.

How can I translate the front end strings?

I have a company site and I use this plugin. But the serious problem is that when someone registers a comment or review, there is no option to approve it, and I don’t know how to approve user reviews.
The next thing is that the reviews are not displayed at all in the comments section of WordPress!

How to load only first 10 comments and put a button like load more to see the others comment?

[average_rating] shortcode doesnt work only shows empty stars in pages or posts which has no reviews (for ex i wanna show averages in footer) it works in specific page but not in whole pages

A nice and useful plugin, works as I need it to work thus in Romanian language (haven’t tested with default english) the review-time function is showing 52 years ago even the test review is added in a matter of minutes.
Searched for the translated string, maybe there’s an issue in translation but it is not.
You guys might want to look into that.
The good thing is that I can target that specific class via custom css and add a display:none .
Backend (admin settings) are easy and simple but doesn’t hurt to add some extra options like changing the color of the star rating system or change the start into thumb-up or whatever…
Overall, useful plugin.

I’m using this plugin on my site for comment reviews and I love its simplicity. I am using the Viem Theme from Themeforrest here…https://themeforest.net/item/viem-video-wordpress-theme/22089539

When reviews are added they do not display in the custom post type in the admin screen which should be video, or Viem_video. The admin screen does have “Reviews” under the Videos menu, and when I look at them, it says 13 reviews however they are not displayed in the list, it’s blank. This means I cant review or edit them but review comments are visible on the posts themselves, just not the back-end.
Also, would it be possible to make the rating stars selection “required” if submitting a review? some reviews are submitted without leaving a rating.

The issue is that there is no reviews with that high number- but once I go back previous page it show newest comment.

Looks super reluctant after submit-review function is executed since, simple page refresh’s is better to show the result.

I’m sure that there should be switch to no-direct mode for simpler refresh.

but the review with stars don’t work for me

I enabled reviews on products and two custom post types ‘collections’ and ‘sanitary_collections’, and reviews are working fine on products and collections, but when I try it on ‘sanitary_collections’ I get the error: ‘Error: The comment could not be saved. Please try again later.’.

Any ideas to resolve this?
