]]>Hi,
Nice plugin… I have weights set at 1.5kg for a product. I want the plugin to determine for Qty 1 order to use small parcel but anything more than 1 to use Medium Parcel (as its over 2kg)
I’m just getting multiples of Small Parcel second class pricing for all quantities (1, 2, 3, 4… etc)
The settings page implies this should happen… In the Settings -> Shipping Select the parcel size you’d like to use for calculating the price of First and Second class parcels. If you select “Small”, then the “Small Parcel” price will be used up until 2kg. After 2kg the medium parcel price will always be used.
But this isn’t working for me? Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.
Mark
]]>The plugin shipping weight calculations are all wrong.
Royal Mail have a 2kg limit for domestic small parcels and a 20kg limit for domestic medium parcels. The international limit for sending printed papers is 5kg and 2kg for Canada. If a customer adds a quantity that is over the weight limits then it should say no option is possibl,e however, when adding quantities to the cart, the plugin does allow massive quantities to be ordered that are well over the weight limits.
For example, for a book product weighing 1.25kg, 280mmx240mmx20mm. It should only be possible to order a 1 book for a small parcel before the weight limit is moved up to a medium parcel. It should only be possible to order 4 books for a medium parcel.
DOMESTIC ORDER EXAMPLE
Adding 25 books to the cart makes the order 25kg in weight which is 5kg over the medium parcel shipping weight. It should not be possible to place an order of this weight via royal mail, but the plugin calculated a price and accepted the order. Adding a quantity of 200 books and it gave a price for a medium parcel which is .not possible
INTERNATIONAL ORDER EXAMPLE
Weight limit for printed papers to USA is 5kg. Adding a quantity of 20 books sending to New York, USA. This would be 20kg over the weight limit and should not be possible but the cart calculated a price for this weight and allowed the order to process.
CANADA ORDER EXAMPLE
Weight limit is 2kg for printed papers. Adding a quantity of 5 books making the weight 6.25kg which should not be possible but the cart calculated a price. Adding 200 books to the cart and the cart still calculated a price which is wrong.
None of these combinations should be possible so if a customer places an order for a quantity that is over the weight limit, you will need to go back to the customer and cancel the order or re-calculate the shipping.
]]>Royal Mail extension (paid) is imposing a 2,500 single item limit. If the cost of a single item is over 2,500, it indicates that no shipping method can be found, wheras if the price of the item is reduced it will find a shipping option and calculate the cost.
I am encountering this problem for international shipments outside the UK (I’m not using the extension for local UK shipping).
My chosen shipping options for international are:
However, I tried enabling ALL international options, and it was still the same problem.
My guess is that this 2,500 limitation is apparently due to the maximum amount of cover provided by Parcelforce or Royal Mail.
However, I am able to actually ship products using both Royal Mail and Parcelforce with much less cover than full product value, and I regularly do so to save costs. I have a 5,000 product for sale along with less expensive items, and I cannot use your plugin for shipping the expensive item due this limitation. There should be some way for this limitation to be removed by having a ‘use minimum cover’ option or similar that can be selected so that the cost of the items in the cart is not a factor, and also does not affect the cost of shipping like it does now.
I believe Parcelforce and Royal Mail have a 50.00 or 100.00 standard included cover, and this shipping extension should allow for choosing that option.
Please advise as to whether you can update this Royal Mail extension to include such an option.
BTW when trying to use your chat/email support at woocommerce website, I get the message my site is not connected, go to ‘My Stores’ to connect but the site is shown there, and the problem is that you are automatically defaulting to /wp-admin with that link and I have that re-routed in the backend via my firewall to avoid brute force admin login attempts which I was getting a lot of. So as a result of this new innovation Woocommerce has implemented I am unable to use their normal support channels.

I have installed and I believe i have configured everything, see here: https://app.screencast.com/uxgiPR7HBHDqY

I am new to this so please forgive my ignorance.
]]>Hi,
I’m hoping you can help. I have a fatal error appearing on my site since a recent update of the WooCommerce Royal Mail Shipping Calculator plugin. Deactivating each of my plugins to try and identify the issue it seems to be caused by a conflict with the Yoast SEO plugin.
When activating the plugin i get the following
Fatal error: Cannot declare class WPRuby\RoyalMailLite\Psr\Log\AbstractLogger, because the name is already in use in /var/www/wp-content/plugins/royal-mail-woocommerce-shipping-calculator/vendor/psr/log/Psr/Log/AbstractLogger.php on line 12
This error is not apparent when YOAST SEO plugin is disabled.
Can anyone advise how I resolve this as both plugins are crucial!
Many thanks
Vicki

The new Royal Mail rates applied on 4th April 2022 haven’t updated on our plugin yet.

The royal mail plugin does not show live rates, even though I have configured the appropriate settings, and added the Royal mail shipping option to the Shipping zones. But it does not show live rates. Here is the page link https://staging.onlyonclick.com/checkout/. Please provide us with your assistance.

]]>I don’t have this plugin installed yet, and I have a question before doing so.
Most of my shipments are Large Letter up to 2.5cm. I have assigned all dimensions on the items. Is it possible for the shipping price to be based only on the heights of the item? For example, items up to 2.5cm as Large Letters and items over 2.5cm as parcel. I am not interested in other dimensions because over 25 I have free shipping.
I have added Royal Mail shipping methods to three international zones, but there are still no postage options available in the front end.
This appears to be because some of the options are missing on the Shipping Methods settings page. I have no option to set any of the following except for the Method Title:
Method Title C Name the shipping method. This is visible to customers.
Rates and Services C Controls the services and rates you offer customers.
Parcel Packing Method C See below.
Offer Rates C Choose to return all rates (user gets selection/choice) or return a single rate.
Services C Rename and re-order Royal Mail shipping rates.
I am following the instructions on this page but can’t do most of number 4 because the options are not available on the Shipping Methods settings page: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/royal-mail/
Please could someone advise – am I missing something?
Thanks.

Any help gratefully received, I am missing out on foreign sales.
