Hi sounds like a nice plugin, but i tested at on two blank installs and it didnt work :/ I still get the normal buddypress “load newest” button

Does it work with the newest buddypress version?

Hi there,
does this plugin make use of the Heartbeat API? Would it make sense to use that API in the plugin? Not sure how much rewriting that would take….
On my install your plugin did not work, but I will try it on a clean install and report back.

This plugin caused a heavy CPU usage on my hosting account which resulted in them sending me a warning which mentioned that CPU seconds used in the past hour were 2689.31000000002 with 75% CPU. The plugin actually works, but it has two serious flaws that unfortunately ruins it for me:

1. When the plugin refreshes an activity feed on any other page than the main Activity page it actually changes the entire feed into the main activity feed. So if i’m on the “Activity” tab on one of my members’ profile and the refresh happens, his/her entire personal activity feed changes into the main activity feed for the entire community. This is obviously unacceptable and hopefully a compatibility issue with any of the latest three releases of BP (1.5.2, 1.5.3 or 1.5.4) rather than an actual intended feature.

2. When the refresh happens it takes any reply being written to any update in the activity feed with it and you have to start over. This can and will most likely irritate members sooner or later.

Please don’t abandon this plugin! It’s the only one of its kind that actually works and it only needs a little adjustment to be perfect!

Hi there, just want to say thanks for such a simple but great plugin. I have two ideias that might be interesting to add in later versions ( if it isn’t too hard to implement )

1- It would be extreamly helpfull if you had a diferent version of the plugin just for notifications on buddypress or in this same or both combined.

2- I Also Think that would be very cool if had something like, block email notifications if the user is logged in. And some sort of checkbox on users profile to enable/disable email notifications when logged in. In that way, the ajax buddypress notification would be amaizing ??
