Hi,
Just installed plugin and when I go to the settings page I get the following error on two different intsalls:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function scrd_options_tab() in G:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\rss-digest\rss-digest.php on line 320
Any ideas on this error?
It always seems to me that most plugins the shortcode is hidden or tucked away
Why isnt it the most prominant feature on the plugin sites why make us hunt and google
I still havnt found the shortcode for this plugin and ive been searching for 15minutes

Can anyone tell me how to get the rss feeds to display on my pages?
Good day!
I was wondering if it’s possible to change the RSS-feed outgoing links (posted on the blog)into “nofollow” links. I’ve been searching the rss-digest.php file to change it, but had no luck there. Hopefully I can get some help here.
Best regards,
Jaimy
Since I disabled wp-cron and only work with unix crons, I was wondering whether someone knows how to get RSS Digest to post digests using a unix cron?
My wp-cron is only triggered by a unix cron and not by visitors. But it seems it keeps missing the RSS Digest post. So I’m hoping to solve this by creating a unix cron to trigger RSS Digest.

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_date() on a non-object in /home/www/web321/html/sites/wp-content/plugins/rss-digest/rss-digest.php on line 606
Hi mate,
Your plugin is great but would like to see Multiple Categories selection option.
Also Multiple RSS feeds option if possible…
Regards!
Having tested about 10 other RSS feed readers, I found that none of them delivered a search result for a keyword or phrase in WP. (It’s obvious why – but the lack of this feature could be highly annoying for a site visitor.)
This one does bring up search result. The styling out of the box is tidy and compact – unlike many other feed plugins.
OK, Sam: With the addition of ‘multiple feeds’ option, this plugin would easily be worth $30. What do you think?
Hi,
I was wondering how to change the format of the date which is posted automaticly into the post title. It is now formatted like 30/01/2012, I need it something like 30. Jan. 2012.
Thank you very much for any help”
Christian
Very neat plugin – formatting displays better than others I’ve tried.
A couple of queries if anyone could advise please:
1. Feeds don’t show up unless selected manually in the debug tab
2. Any way to add more feeds i.e. using [SHORTCODE- feed2=https://… ]
TIA
p.s. Why was my previous request removed from here, and who is authorised to do this without a good reason ???
Despite the fact that several of my blogs are running both of these plugins without issues, RSS Digest is conflicting with Zemanta on one of my WordPress sites.
When the automatic digest is scheduled to post, nothing posts on the blog though the log indicates that it has posted. If I try to manually post the digest I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function WP_Filesystem() in /home/[my site]/wp-content/plugins/zemanta/zemanta.php on line 323
If I disable Zemanta, the digest posts just fine both manually and when scheduled. But I’d like to be able to still use Zemanta and the fact that these work together on my other blogs makes me inclined to seek a solution rather than give up the plugin.
Thoughts?

i cannot get to the Settings page, it jumps to the middle of the page and then nothing !

I’m getting the following error on RSS Digest, despite not having changed anything recently:
Fatal error: Call to a member function get_date() on a non-object in /wp-content/plugins/rss-digest/rss-digest.php on line 613
Here’s the line of code that is triggering the error:
$item_date = $item->get_date(‘l ‘ . get_option(‘date_format’, ‘F j, Y’) . ‘, ‘ . get_option(‘time_format’, ‘H:m p’));
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Hiya,
Great work on this plugin – I am evaluating it as a replacement for Twitter Digest/Twitter Tools. Based on what I have read, I expect your plugin to be far more robust and reliable.
May I ask for one simple enhancement – can you replace all instances where
is used with the function call wp_enqueue_style().
That way minifying plugins like Better WordPress Minify will be able to minify rss-digest.css.
Thanks.

Hi,
I’ve only recently installed this plugin. Worked fine for a few days, but now all the posts created are blank in both IE and Firefox. Editing the post shows the content. I believe this started when WP was moved from the directory /blog/ to the root of the server.
I love the simplicity of the plugin and the results were fantastic when it worked. Nothing out of the ordinary in the logs. Preview is perfect from debug page.
So what do you thing? Any ideas?
Can this plugin handle multiple sources? I love the plugin, but I’d also like to post a few digests with different sources.
hi, great plugin! we’re trying to put this in production, but i’m having these issues:
1. during testing, i added some text into the post header text field. now i cannot delete it. no matter what i do, when i update settings it returns.
2. the time in the logs appears to be displaying utc as opposed to the local time.
3. if i deselect all days in the schedule (so that i can manually run these), when i click on “post now” in debug, nothing happens. i need to select at least one day for anything to happen. our use case is for someone to manually run these daily, which would pull in from a partner feed that’s constantly being updated.
thanks!
Love, love that you added a header option. Thank you.
I put more than just text in my header. It has code for images and formatting. It generates correctly when RSS Digest generates a post, however the coding seems to mess up the settings page so that the header partially comes through on the RSS Digest settings tab.
Would like to see a bigger box for header and footer content.
You can see a sample what my RSS digest posts look like on my blog.
Thank again for this wonderful plugin. It has been most useful to me.
I’m not sure if this feature is on there or not but could you maybe make it so you can make it post a digest from different rss feeds one more each day. For example lets say on monday post site 1 digest, tuesday site 2 digest, wednesday site 3 digest so that it is constantly posting, it makes it easier for me so when i have the time to post something there wont be gaps inbetween.
Justify body of new post, adding date beside every part of post and add more rss sources
Nice plug-in – I hope I will use it a lot …
I have my blog – but I don’t post on it all topics discussion etc – BUT I do that on Facebook where I lead 40.00 members page – I will like to post all my discussions from previous day to my blog – Your plug-in can do that but maybe I will need some few “adjustments from your side”
1. I try and I saw that plug-in check what he last publish and don’t publish all those already published stuff – NICE
2. Is it possible that you “add some” adjustments – for instance- Justify for all text
3. Is it possible that name of “status” don’t be “link but that link simply be put below status – I try to use whole 420 characters on Facebook for status and when I see those topics under rss digest they simple don’t look nice all underlined like links – if that can be changed – that will be very nice
4. Is it possible that beside every “post” (Facebook status) you put date – in another “line” – before or after text – That will look better and everyone can track when something has been posted – just an idea and I hope you can allow this because that data already exist on Facebook rss
5. 420 characters for “status” isn’t too much – simply – I put some excerpts in status and rest is in “first next” post. I saw that Facebook simple give status but don’t give replies but I want to ask – is it possible to “get 1 or 2 more posts trough this plug-in or no” – I hope but I think it is not so easy …
6. I lead few pages on Facebook – is it possible to arrange possibility to add all them with maybe separate names for topics, numbers of posted status etc – I hope you understand my idea …
That’s for now – I hope I give you some nice ideas because I think lots of people will like them – I hope so ? –
Thanks in advance Spel
I installed the plugin on WordPress 3.1 and all I see in the RSS Digest settings is a blank page.
I like your plugin, but I have a feature request – I’d like to be able to set the plugin to check the RSS feed several times a day, and then post each new article as a separate post to the blog (preferably using the title from the article). Any possibilities this could be included at some point?
