I recently configured the Schema plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/schema/) to my website with the goal of optimizing my SEO. Just had a couple questions:

1. Does Schema automatically update my Sitemap or connect to Google Search Console, or is there something else I have to do?
2. After configuring Schema or making sitemap changes, how long would it take for changes to show up when I do a Google search?

Using SCHEMA with PHP 8.2 broke my wordpress webpage. Every time I tried to edit a page or post in the WordPress editor and save the draft, the page became unresponsive. My CPanel reflected a significant increase in CPU load and RAM usage, which essentially made my webpage inaccessible.

Here is the first error form the debug console which is a deprecation error from Schema:

Schema produced lots of those errors while being in the editor and trying to save my draft.

WordPress seems to work fine with just PHP 8.1.

If you encounter this issue, I advice downgrading to PHP 8.1.

Maybe time to update the plug-in guys? Its more than 6 months!

Hello. After installing the plugin, the site does not work, after it starts after 5 minutes. What could be the reason? The sites are different, the themes and plugins are different. Is this normal?

Please if you are reading this don’t put any money or time into this plugin. It has been 7 months since there has been an update. Can an Admin/moderator please step in en sticky a post about this? Allot of people come here after they spent hundreds of dollars for the premium version only to find out it is out of date and causing errors. And because the premium support is silent also.

I think WordPress needs to adres this issue for this particular plugin that it is not compatible anymore, als because it uses an old acf (5) version and it breaks because acf updated to 6 recently.

It benefits noone haveing this plugin available without any red flag attached to it that it’s not compatible anymore. The same goes for the premium version.

Hello, we just purchased Schema Premium but, unfortunately, our website keeps crashing after the activation. After deactivating Yoast, we started to get this error when installing Schema Premium:

The error is: “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_field() (previously declared in /nas/content/live/navillage/wp-content/themes/drybones/source/functions/drybones_meta_box.php:24) in?/nas/content/live/navillage/wp-content/plugins/schema-premium/vendors/acf/includes/api/api-template.php?on line?20“

on lines 982 and 987 of functions.php, PHP will send a notice if $i is larger than the number of elements in the $words array.

PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 100 in /wp-content/plugins/schema/includes/misc-functions.php

I think this could be resolved by adjusting line 981 from

while(1){

to

while(isset($words[$i])){

this would only execute the loop when a new word is available to be appended to $output

For testing I had only ACF and schema (premium) plugin activated.
ACF (6) will throw an error if schema plugin is activated.

Uncaught TypeError: tagify.settings.classNames is undefined

Also made ACF devs aware of this issue. But I seems schema is causing this issue.
It also does not seem to matter if the ‘Enagble/Disable option for ACF PRO in the schema settings page is set to enabled or disabled. ACF keeps throwing the error -Uncaught TypeError: tagify.settings.classNames is undefined.

So as of now the schema plugin is completely unusable…

The website has been down for more the 3 days. What is going on? Paying customers cant download anything and all the websites what have this plugin slow down the admin because of the servers cant be reached.

Because there has been no response via email or twitter i thought i would try it this way.

We have been using the premium version of this plugin for years, but after upgrading to WordPress 6.03 or even 6.1 the schema are not generated correctly. Especially the offers part has disappeared and now no matter what you configure it appears blank:

Before the update fields like priceCurrency, price, priceValidUntil, availability and itemCondition came out with their corresponding values and not blank.

Also the schema part of the schema with the rating fields is no longer generated.

I use AMP for WP plugin for AMP pages.

I have 3 issues.

1: This plugin doesn’t give option to add schema markup to AMP pages. AMP for WP plugin asks us to download their schema plugin, but it messes up my theme Q&A structure.

2: I want to disable theme POST schema structure only. Not Questions and Answer structure from theme. Is it possible to overtake theme post schema and show only plugin’s schema output?

3: NewsArticle type doesn’t output featured image in the markup.

With this plugin installed, Query Monitor shows duplicate queries on wp_posts (the largest table on most installs).

For every possible supported post type, the plugin calls schema_wp_cpt_get_enabled() which runs

SELECT wp_posts.*
FROM wp_posts
WHERE 1=1
AND wp_posts.post_type = 'schema'
AND ((wp_posts.post_status = 'publish'))
ORDER BY wp_posts.post_date DESC

This happens multiple times per admin page, eg. for audio, video, meta etc. Even if these schema types are disabled.

Surely you can call it once and pass the array, saving some expensive queries?
