I followed the quick guide to start a test session…

After many tests, no e-mail is being sent and the page witth the session code : [sd_qa session_id=”X”] only displays:

I like the look of this plugin but would need to be able to run more than one Q&A session on a single blog. Will this be possible / might it be a future development?

I have installed the sd-questions-and-answer plugin and it was working well, after upgrading my server to the new version of PHP I get this error message

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘public’ (T_PUBLIC) in /home/localhostname/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sd-questions-and-answers/SD_QA.php on line 689

This is stopping the site and admin from loading.
I had a look in my database to check if there where any questions or answers no written correctly or some and have deleted them all in the database but the error stays the same.

Then I tried to name the sd folder in plugins hoping the site might work but the error then states that it can’t find the folder.

Is there anyway of either fixing the problem or removing the sd folder from within the root so I can access the plugs through my admin.

We used to use SD Questions and Answers all the time in WordPress 3.2, but hadn’t hosted a moderated chat in several months. We have a guest scheduled for tomorrow, but when we went to test out the functionality, we noticed that guest invitations aren’t being sent out. We get the list of guests with their keys, but no one receives an email.

Is there a possible workaround that would let us host the chat session while we’re waiting for the plugin to be fixed? For example, could we assemble the URL manually and send that out in an email? If so, what elements comprise the URL?

We can confirm that we are also having the problem with the Moderator tab that someone else reported.

I have just installed this plugin. I have followed your quick guide, but when I go to the page with the q&a session and click on Moderator tab to invite the guest nothing happens – I remain on Question tab.
Any ideas on what might be wrong?

I managed to install this plugin and everything appeared to be working, right through to the email invites and the questions being asked, however when logged in as the guest invited to answer questions, while the list of questions appeared in the correct tab, clicking on them did nothing.

To be exact, click the question removed the scrollbar from the page (as is normal when a modal appears) but no modal appeared. I checked the javascript error console in Safari and a variable for “left:0” was undefined or something similar (I can’t remember exactly sorry, I had to uninstall the plugin as it wasn’t working).

Is anyone else having this problem? I de-enqueue the wp version of jQuery and hard-link to the last version of jQuery for a slider on another page, in case that may cause problems.

No modal appears after submitting a question either, but the scrollbars again disappear. The question does however post.

Any help greatly appreciated.
