IF i select a specific expirt time, thit works as expected, but when I select “Never” expire it reverts the generate email an link back to 24 hours.

I’ve noticed that downloads are failing for larger files (larger than 1GB, I think). Maybe this has always been the case? But I feel sure that I have used this plugin for much larger file transfers than 1GB in the past. Has there been a change to the configurations? Is there any way to set a larger maximum file size?

I see this request commonly in this forum with out any resolution.

I have found a bug with how you are comparing download_url_path != my_parsed_url_path in check_secret_link of opsd-download.php. I don’t know if the other instances are similar to mine but I’ll throw it here for discussion.

If a site lives in a sub directory this comparison doesn’t work. My site is in…

my_parsed_url_path = my_site_dir/my_download_dir
download_url_path = my_download_dir

I have /my_download_dir/ in settings for URL Path based on the place holder text of /file-download/

Hi. First of all, congratulations on the plugin.

I have a problem: My wordpress site is installed in a subfolder.
Then the generated download link erroneously includes the name of this subfolder, which generates a 404 error on that link.
So, in this case, the plugin should consider the Home url and not the Site url, right?

Is there any way to fix this?

I know you can modify the email templates. But is it possible to create multiple custom email templates, so you have more options than just ‘Plain’ and ‘Standard 1 column’ and so you can have different email styles for different topics?

My clients want to sell PDF file and want to prevent the buyer from transferring the file to other person, they don’t use WooCommerce for now and the payment is with some company that redirect the buyer back to site after payment, can I use the plugin to let the user get the file but not allow they to pass the file?

Just confirming because it wasn’t clear in the features.

When I “generate” a secure link, can that link be used multiple times by multiple people I send it to? In this case I’m sending it through my own ESP, not through the email option provided in the plugin.

When i go to Files and upload a file, that seems to work fine
However, when i go to Secure Link and either generate or email. The generated link and email link do not work. When clicking on the link it takes me to Oops! That page can’t be found.

I set the upload folder to my wordpress wp-content/uploads/ folder.

I uploaded a file using the media uploader, saved it and then sent the download email with the default template.

The email was received, but when I clicked on the link, it keeps routing me to my website home page.

Please advise.

I’ve installed secure downloads and emails are not being sent even so the page says they have.

Do I take it correctly: files, uploaded by means of native WordPress endpoint won’t be secure? If so, does the plugin have its own endpoint? And media uploaded before the plugin installation couldn’t be made secure?

I tried the plugin with files smaller than 50MB and it works perfect for me. But when I try with 100MB files or bigger it doesn’t work. It sends the email with the link, but when I click it to download I get a page not found error.
I tried in debug mode, but no errors in log file.
(I always upload the files manually by FTP to my web server, to the secure-downloads special directory, and it works fine).

Why does the auto-generated download link appear so long (without line-breaks) in the email, causing an ugly look and loads of horizontal scrolling?

The plugin description mentions that “links can expire after specific time”. However, it seems they actually do expire and the maximum is 1 year.

How to make a link never expire?

Also, it there a location where I can find the list of my generated links?

When installing this plugin I immediately get several errors:

404: /wp-content/plugins/secure-downloads/assets/libs/chosen/chosen.css?ver=1.1.1

Will it be possible in Future Updates to send to multiple email adresses at once?

Currently I have a subscriber list from a subscription form. Therefore I would need the option to send to each subscriber the same link in one go. Currently its a bit of a hassle to insert each e-mail manually and click on the send button.

I have created a brand new wordpress site and only installed the Secure Downloads plugin.

I haven’t added any new files yet, just using the original .txt and .html file that came with the download.

I can get get the email, with the link ( that looks encrypted) – but when i click on the link, the site looks like it starts to do something then just goes to the home page and no prompt for a download.

The file location is default – name of the folder where the downloads are is correct – secret key is installed.

Any ideas what it could be?

The secret link generated takes me to a “Hello world” post, not to the uploaded file.
I am using WP 5.0.2 and PHP 7.2

We’re really wanting to send multiple files in one hit rather than sending out multiple emails.

Really like your plugin and just installed it today. Just two things to ask:

1) Do you have an approximate date when the multiple custom email add-on will be ready?

2) Just went to your oplugins.com website and tried to send you a note using your contact form. The CAPTCHA didn’t work: It showed me screen-after-screen-after-screen of images to click on but never stopped and verified me. (Yes, I’m a WordPress developer so know when CAPTCHA is broken). Hope this helps.
