I exported 10 posts from my old site. The posts have photos. When I import them in the new site using Tools -> Import -> WordPress it accepts the XML file, but when I check the box that says “download media files and import” it doesn’t actually do that. All the posts show broken image links. How do you use the download images feature?
]]>I’ve just installed this and would love it to work (I have a staging site to merge with live tomorrow!) but it’s just not showing as a bulk option.
I’m using Yoast Duplicate Post which also hooks into this dropdown – but I don’t see your option even if I disable that. And thoughts?
I’m having to use quite a lot of plugins for this site – but any clues for incompatibility from the list?

This is a fascinating and useful plugin for accessing the content and metadata of individual posts.
Our project site is an open-source content archive, and we’d like to make the post export accessible externally on individual posts for site visitors, via an outward facing link. Is that possible? (For privacy, we’d need to obscure author and comment author email addresses in the export file.)
Let us know and thank you.
